---------------------------------
For June 7th, Teachers.Net is proud to announce a tasty treat for hungry teachers everywhere. Whether you’re looking for a quick and easy recipe to feed a big family on the go, or a tasty and healthy snack to keep you going between classes, the Teacher Recipe Chatboard is for you!
I’ve always given credit for Teachers.Net development to the teachers who use it. Feedback on existing resources, and suggestions for new ones, have forever driven development across the entire site. This is probably one of Teachers.Net’s secrets of success, and it makes sense – if you want your website to be used to the fullest extent, create the tools and resources that your users most want.
For many years you, the teachers of Teachers.Net, have been asking for a place to upload, share, and critique recipes you use and love the most. Initially, we resisted the idea at Teachers.Net, because we thought it might be outside of our mission. But our teachers know best what drives our mission, and if it builds community, we’ve learned to support it.
Fifty Recipes In Just Ten Days!
“If you build it, they will come” – in just under ten days, the brand new recipe board has generated over 50 recipes from the Teachers.Net community. The teachers have spoken – and they seem to be hungry! If the initial support is any indication, by the next time we roll out the 30 Days of June, you’ll have submitted enough recipes for a dozen cookbooks!
I’ve taken the liberty to link below just the first 50 recipes submitted. If you actually visit the links below, you’ll notice that many of the recipes have responses from our eager-to-assist teachers, offering advice on alternative ingredients, measurement, and procedures. If you have a question about any recipe, post a reply asking for clarification, and you’ll get a helpful response in no time. Looking for a recipe you can’t find anywhere? Ask on the Chatboard, and you’ll likely find that elusive recipe in no time flat.
Will You Be Archiving Our Recipe Gems?
We’re excited to announce that all recipes uploaded will be stored in our brand new Teacher Recipe Blog. This archive will be maintained by Teachers.Net, and we’ll grab every recipe added to the chatboard before it slips off the board, and give it a permanent home in the Teacher Recipe blog. Teacher recipes will be searchable, sorted by category (such as poultry, dessert, vegetarian), rated by our users, and will include feedback from our teacher community. This is just the first of many blogs we’ll be rolling out here at Teachers.Net – but I’ll save that news for a different 30 Days announcement!
Well Alright - Feed Me, Seymour!
Without further ado, then, I give you the latest 50 recipes on the Teachers.Net Recipe Chatboard. I hope you’ll upload all of your favorite recipes, and be sure to give feedback to the original author when you try a recipe by someone else.
