---------------------------------
For the seventh day of June, we present the Teachers.Net State Teachers Network. No matter what state you live in, Teachers.Net has developed a set of resources exclusively for you.
Teachers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Canada, the UK, and Australia/New Zealand - Teachers.Net has a series of resources exclusively for you.
State Teacher Chatboards
Teachers are a special group - they are known for their sense of comradery. Teachers share ideas and support each other to a degree most other professions don't even approach. And you can tap directly into the support network for your state, with the Teachers.Net State Teachers Chatboards.
Visit your state teacher chatboard, and you'll immediately be met with hundreds of different discussions by your teacher colleagues from your state. Discussions about the employment situation in your state, your state's educational programs, laws, and personnel. You'll find tips for finding a job, for finding a better job, and places to avoid. Don't see a topic you want to discuss? Start a new thread!
You can help your state's teachers get the most out of their career, simply by bookmarking, visiting often, and contributing your voice.

State Teacher Mailrings
Every state teacher chatboard has a companion state teacher mailring. Every topic discussed on the state teacher chatboards, is appropriate for the state teacher mailrings. It is highly recommended that every teacher sign up for and support their state teacher mailring.
If you only subscribe to one mailring, make it the mailring for your state!
Signing up is easy - simply visit the Teachers.Net Mailrings page, and look for your state in the list of states. Enter your email address, and click "submit." Just one step left - check your email for the confirmation request from our listserver. When you see the email, simply hit "reply" and send the confirmation back to the listserver. That's it - you'll now be signed up to get the latest discussions by your teacher colleagues across the state.

New Feature - Chatboard Subscribe Form
To make it even easier to sign up for your state's mailring, I added a subscribe form on the side column of every page on your state teachers chatboard. Simply enter your email address and hit return, and look for the email confirmation.
New Feature - Chatboard Digest
To help teachers keep track of the new posts on their state's exclusive teacher's chatboard, we've developed a special digest system that sends the latest new topics started on that state's chatboard to its companion mailring. Some chatboards are more active than others - the more you contribute, and start new threads on your state's chatboard, the more participation on the chatboard you'll see from the companion mailring. So don't be afraid to start a new thread whenever you have something worth saying - even if it's just to introduce yourself, or start a roll call!
New Feature - Set Your State Preferences
We're really excited about this last one - we've added a special feature to our website, which allows you to set your custom preferences for Teachers.Net. This includes your state, your primary grade level, and which subject you teach. Once you set these preferences, you can easily find your state, grade, and subject resources through your custom "Quick Links" at the top of the Teachers.Net page. We also serve customized content to teachers who set their preferences, making it easier to navigate all the great content across Teachers.Net, and never miss anything in your interest.
Set your Quick Links: Customize your Teachers.Net!
Now that you know about the many special tools just for teachers in your state, be sure to sign up for your state's mailring, and visit your chatboard regularly. Bookmark your state's chatboard and contribute regularly, and set your Quick Links for content customized just for you. Get the most out of YOUR Teachers.Net, and help support your teacher colleagues from your state on Teachers.Net!
