For this, the eighth day of June, we present the most lively of resources, the Teachers.Net Live Chat and Live Teacher Meetings.
In developing Teachers.Net, founders Tony Bott and Bob Reap recognized that the Internet presented three unique means of communicating, each with their own special advantages: chatboards, mailrings, and live chat.
Chatboards offer teachers a way of reaching the biggest pool of mentors possible, while maintaining your content for later reference for as much as months or even years later.
Mailrings (as presented on June 2) provide teachers a way to stay connected around the clock with their colleagues, without ever lifting a finger. Essentially, Teacher Mailrings bring the benefits of chatboards right to your computer, through your email box. I hope you took the time to join as many mailrings as you can.
Live Chat and Live Meetings, on the other hand, provide something unique - instant feedback on your ideas, and the excitement of knowing other people are exploring common issues, as you speak. While you can find live chat at many places on the Internet, very few offer access to such a large body of teachers, eager to share their experiences and strategies for getting ahead as teachers.

If you're looking for more focused discussions, Teachers.Net has live meetings nightly - covering dozens of the most talked about teaching topics.
