---------------------------------
Greetings Teachers.Net Mailring Subscribers! If you are receiving this email, chances are you are already aware of our Tip of the Day for June 9th - The Teachers.Net Mailring. But there's probably a lot you don't know about this powerful tool for teachers....
Mailring BasicsFor nearly a decade, Teachers.Net Has offered teachers a collection of free email "listservs" (or email discussion lists) designed to bring the Teachers.Net community to your email box every day. Joining the mailring (like all Teachers.Net resources) is free, and everyone is encouraged to participate fully.
To get the most out of the these mailrings, we recommend you contribute frequently. Introduce yourself, ask a question, offer an answer or tip, share a story or observation, or whatever you want to share. You're free to simply sit back and watch, but it's through participation that your mailrings become their most potent - a powerful community support tool for teachers around the world.
A Mailring for Everyone
Teachers.Net now offers 150 teacher mailrings - one for teachers in every state, every grade level, every major subject, and dozens of special interest topics YOU told us you wanted over the years. You can see the complete list of Teachers.Net mailrings at http://teachers.net/mailrings/ .

You can help the Teachers.Net community - and the teaching community in general - become more powerful. Make it a personal mission to help recruit teachers to these mailrings, because as our peer community grows, more perspectives and voices are added. You never know who might have an answer for your most troubling challenge in your career. By helping bring new teachers to these mailrings, you can help benefit the entire teaching profession.
Pass the word, and join more mailrings yourself!
With just a few strokes of the keys, you can subscribe to any and all mailrings on Teachers.Net. The link again is http://teachers.net/mailrings/ and can always be found hyperlinked at the top of every page on Teachers.Net. As these mailrings reach "critical mass" (usually about 200 or so subscribers) the flow of the content becomes regular, and much richer. Join, join more, and spread the word!
New Feature – Chatboard Inter-link
Teachers.Net Chatboards now include a special feature which enables new topics started on the web chatboard to be continued on the Teachers.Net mailring. Whenever anyone starts a new topic, the originating message is delivered through the companion mailring. This enables people seeking solutions on the Web, to receive a much broader pool of herlpful educators, and expands the topics of discussion for mailring subscribers.
New Feature – Chatboard Dynamic Subscribe Forms
All chatboards across Teachers.Net now feature integrated subscribe forms for their corresponding companion mailring. Signing up for the mailring that goes along with your favorite chatboard is now as easy as filling in your email address and hitting a button.
Please support the mailring's companion chatboard! Just as every subscriber enriches the mailring network, every post on the chatboards enriches the Teachers.Net web community. So take a moment to review each digest, and click on the link of any new topic which interests you. We've worked hard to provide content from the chatboards that is most relevant to you - please check out these digests as often as you can, click and jump in on these threads. We all benefit from your participation!
To suggest a new chatboard and mailring, a new teacher resource or tool, or to send us any feedback of any type, please either:
