meeha/ece/tx - well, welcome! this is a great way to meet and share with other early childhood teachers (and primary!)
Hockeyrabbit - Hi everyone..what are we talking about?
meeha/ece/tx - hi, Hockeyrabbit!
meeha/ece/tx - It looks like tonight is a "general topics" chat -- anything you might particularly like to discuss?
Hockeyrabbit - what kind of reading prog do your schools use?
meeha/ece/tx - lindy -- I work with special needs preschoolers in the north central Texas area. you?
Hockeyrabbit - btw-I teach K-2 Spec Ed..12-1-1
lindyloo - Macmillan....but we don't have a reading program in Kindergarten
meeha/ece/tx - ... and hockeyrabbit -- I know we've met, but it has been awhile!
Hockeyrabbit - meecha-I think that would be fun
lindyloo - I teach K
meeha/ece/tx - see there ... you already answered my question!
meeha/ece/tx - Hockey== I love it!
Hockeyrabbit - I don't even remember meech..rough day at school..heehee
Hockeyrabbit - we use Hougton Mifflin..its OK, btu I think it moves too fast
meeha/ece/tx - the pre-literacy program we are using this year is Scholastic Building Language for Literacy. I'm not overly impressed, but they collect a pretty sum for each kit!
lindyloo - I am in Illinois....small town.....
Hockeyrabbit - lindy, I bet I have you beat on size
meeha/ece/tx - rabbit -- I have 10 children per session (actually 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. with three fabulous teaching assistants!
lindyloo - we don't have a formal reading program and I like it that way.....
Hockeyrabbit - how many kids are in a class by you?
lindyloo - what is your size of town...Hockey?
Hockeyrabbit - lindy-so you develop all your own lit stuff? what are you doing this month?
Hockeyrabbit - meech-aren't aides the greatest..well, MOST are
Hockeyrabbit - small..we only have 70 kids in a GRADE
lindyloo - yes...I develop my own.....we mainly use themes........this month we introduce letters J, W, K, B
meeha/ece/tx - rabbit l-- I"ve had a taste of "the good, the bad, and the ugly" -- but the three working with me now are beyond belief! so good!
lindyloo - we have 3 K's this year....total of 58 kids in K
meeha/ece/tx - (((((Addie)))))
Addie/mo - hi everyone. is there a topic tonight?
lindyloo - I don't have an aide .....(sigh)
Addie/mo - ((((meeha))))
Hockeyrabbit - I use the letter ppl, but really only focus on that letter for like 1 day..the rest of the time we use building blocks approach..they seem to leanr more letters that way
meeha/ece/tx - Addie, I think the topic is open this evening!
Hockeyrabbit - so how many kids in your class?
Addie/mo - sounds good to me
lindyloo - I have 20 kids
Addie/mo - i used building blocks the last couple of years i taught. i thought it was a really good program and met indv. differences
Hockeyrabbit - ugh..too many kids..teachers in my school are FIGHTING for my teachers cuz they have 21 in 1st grade
Hockeyrabbit - I should have said fighting for MORE teachers..not my
Addie/mo - our first grades are in that neighborhood
lindyloo - we had 5 K's last year...but enrollment was down so they cut us....they more kids showed up....etc
lindyloo - I should have said then NOT they
Addie/mo - our kinders have 18 or 19. when i taught the least i had was 22 and the most was 31 (with a part time aide)
meeha/ece/tx - my campus has 5 K's this year ... precious little room for expansion!
lindyloo - they try to keep us under 18 students but doesn't always happen....
Hockeyrabbit - now in our school each K teacher has an aide, and then there is one floating aid in the other grades..my building is K-3
Hockeyrabbit - each grade level has their own floating aid..we are lucky
lindyloo - I really believe that all K teachers should have an aide......BUT....who listens to me??? ha!
Hockeyrabbit - not to sound bias or anything, but I am a male teacher, and it woud be nice to see a male aide..or more male lower grade level teachers
lindyloo - hi peachy.....
Hockeyrabbit - how is that for changing the subject? like I said, rough day at school lol
meeha/ece/tx - Our K went full-day last year. The district provides 1/2 assistant per teacher -- but the campus I'm on found budget $$ to fund full day aide for each! Upper grades don't have aides, but we have on-campus tutors and LOTS of parent volunteers all the time on campus!
meeha/ece/tx - rabbit -- some days are just like that!
peachy - I would listen to you, Lindy loo! There's no doubt about that. They are eliminating our aides starting next year.
lindyloo - we have a male cross-catagorical K teacher this year.....it is nice to have a male on our level.....
Hockeyrabbit - are there any male K teachers where you all live?
Addie/mo - only our inclusion classes have aides. it depends on how many inclusion students and their needs as to how much time the aide is in the room
Hockeyrabbit - lindy-I agree..every K teacher should have an aide..the kids are very clueless that first month of school
meeha/ece/tx - We have one "token" male on our campus ... the kids love him! He works with grade four -- we have a staff of about 80 on the campus!
Addie/mo - no, we have a male second grade teacher, two male fourth grade teachers and two male fifth grade teachers
peachy - The ones I know are really good, Hockey. there just aren't enough of them.
Hockeyrabbit - HAHA-meech..I feel like that at times..I am the only other male..besides PE and Music
meeha/ece/tx - I'm not aaware of any male K (or primary) teachers here, rabbit, but I agree -- there should be more!
lindyloo - our "token" male teacher is loved by the kids......and it is nice to have a male to "chase" the boys out of the boys bathroom!! ha!
Addie/mo - we have a male nurse too
peachy - Any K teachers here do Building Blocks?
meeha/ece/tx - Hi Bail
Hockeyrabbit - but anyway-is anyone doing a unit on Eskimos? need some ideas..I have a few but wondering..also do any of you celebrate the 100th day of school?? ideas?
peachy - That's great, Addie!
Hockeyrabbit - lindy-too funny..I do my fiar share of chasing
lindyloo - we are having our 100th day party this Friday
Bail - Hi -I'm token male teacher for our school
meeha/ece/tx - rabbit -- have your read MAMA, DO YOU LOVE ME? (I think that's the title!)
lindyloo - I bet you do, Hockey!
Hockeyrabbit - bail-cool..what grade do u teach?
meeha/ece/tx - Stephen Fites has a 100th day of school song on his MONKEY BUSINESS cd.
Hockeyrabbit - Yes-we will read that book
Addie/mo - hockey, do you have the book, mama, do you love me? it has lots of animals and other inuit items integrated in the story
lindyloo - hi Bail
Addie/mo - our 100th day is tomorrow
Hockeyrabbit - our 100th day is in about 2 weeks
meeha/ece/tx - i think 100 day is tomorrow for us, too.
Bail - lindy loo - our 100th day was today. Get a parent to make a 100 cake. The kids flipped out.
Hockeyrabbit - I think I am going to invite my parents in to have a breakfast..use bacon strip for the one and cook round waffles for the zeros
Addie/mo - we learned about inuits while we did native americans....we made story masks out of paper plates and various items, we also made totems and learned about their meanings
meeha/ece/tx - cute, rabbitt!
Hockeyrabbit - not sure though..we are making pizza next week so I am not sure I am up to cooking every week..of couse my aides will do the cooking..
lindyloo - We have a all-K 100th Day celebration in our multi-purpose room.....each teacher is responsible for setting up 4 or 5 tables of fun things to do involving 100......
Hockeyrabbit - I have the book-Raven-maybe I could do something with a totem pole..kids would like that
Addie/mo - our kindergarten teachers each plan an activity or two for 100th day and then all the kinders rotate to the different rooms.
Hockeyrabbit - OH- I forgot..I just saw this COOL book
Addie/mo - raven! i was "seeing" that book in my head, but wasnt sure of the title. we did that too.
lindyloo - we rotate around the multi-purpose room....but it is free choice rotation.....it works really well...the kids are free to wander to whatever table takes their fancy.....
Hockeyrabbit - the kids make it- it says something like 100 things..anyway, on EACH page (there is 10), they have to stamp, color etc. what it says on each page..some of the things were, 10 frogs, 10 fish, etc..I am definitely doing it with mine..even if they can't coun
meeha/ece/tx - let the kiddos string 100 cheerios or fruitloops on to licorice (black or red) strings!
Hockeyrabbit - hey does anyone here do literacy centers?>
Addie/mo - when we did totems it was a home project and each student was supposed to build a totem that stood for them....like if they liked to swim, they might have a fish represent that, etc. this isnt related to native americans, but we read the book "quick as a cricket" to talk about how different animals could represent different characteristics
meeha/ece/tx - hi, hey teach!
lindyloo - Is it politically correct to say Inuit instead of Eskimo, now?
Hockeyrabbit - we just did a lit center with their names-I took their picture and cut it out for the head of a snowman..then I cut out white circles for the body and on each snowball wrote the letter of their name..then I gave them a hat with their name (not all mine kn
hey teach! - hey all
Addie/mo - lindyloo, i think so. it says inuit in mama, do you love me
Hockeyrabbit - computer..ugh
Addie/mo - hockey, how cute! neat idea
hey teach! - how does this work...I can't see the chatting?
Hockeyrabbit - I was going to say..they LOVED this today..like literally could have sat there all day doing this
hey teach! - hey al l
Hockeyrabbit - and I wrote their name on the hat b/c not all mine know how to spell their name..and to see the "snowman" in the pocket chart was cool
hey teach! - thanx meeha
lindyloo - hello....Hey Teach!
meeha/ece/tx - any time, teach!
Hockeyrabbit - does anyone else use centers? the reason I ask is b/c I want to know how they rotate, and rules you have?
meeha/ece/tx - I f ind it hard to teach "winter" and "snowmen" when it is 50 degrees outside! just doesn't make sense.
Hockeyrabbit - HAHA..meech not nice..its foot of snow, but 40 today, by me
Addie/mo - lol, meeha! i bet it is hard in tx. my little dallas niece saw snow for the first time when she was up here in missouri a couple of years ago.
meeha/ece/tx - we just kind of slid out of winter into cowboys and TEXAS themes ... have a lot of fun there!
Hockeyrabbit - cowboys..fun
meeha/ece/tx - hi, pooh!
lindyloo - I do not use "organized" centers.....but we have free choice time......where choices are available.....new activities and old ...around the room....again the children are free to choose......and there are times that I steer them in different directions if they continually choose the same thing
Addie/mo - here is how i did centers in k... http://www.geocities.com/athens/aegean/2221/centers.html
pooh - Hi everyone! It was about 70 here today
Addie/mo - where are you, pooh?
meeha/ece/tx - Hi, Glenda!
Glenda - Hi everyone
pooh - I'm in Florida
Hockeyrabbit - pooh-GEEZ..must be nice
pooh - Also hard to teach winter, snow and penquins
Addie/mo - it was upper 50's here yesterday and today. i put the top down on my convertible yesterday![]()
meeha/ece/tx - Addie -- sounds like fun to me!
pooh - I need a convertible
Hockeyrabbit - hey, did anyone see these hefty zoo pal plates at Walmart? people are talking about them on the KinderKorner web ring??
meeha/ece/tx - I'd NEVER get the knots out of my hair if I rode with the top down in a convertible!
meeha/ece/tx - I'll have to check them out, rabbit .
Addie/mo - lol, you have to pull your hair back in a ponytail or braid or something. that is a problem. i thought about putting the top down today, but i was on my way to night class and didnt have a way to pull back my hair. it would have been a mess!
pooh - Is anyone a Montessori Teacher here?
Addie/mo - but, the good thing about night class is that he only kept us an hour, so i got home in time to chat
meeha/ece/tx - Addie -- my hair is SOOOO fine it can get knotted just brushing it out in the morning!
meeha/ece/tx - my class is on thursday evenings this semester! and only a 22 minute drive from home! ((YEAH!!!!! it used to take 1.25 hours to go one way to university!))
Addie/mo - i have tuesday and thursday nights
Addie/mo - mine is about a 30 minute drive
meeha/ece/tx - pooh -- i don't think anyone here is a montessori teacher -- but we do have a chatboard. tried a montessori chat two weeks ago, little response. I"m sure Kathleen will try it again soon, though!
pooh - Great. I'm in a public school with a Montessori tract and a regular tract. I also like the KinderKorner web site.
Addie/mo - how old are your oldest montessori students?
meeha/ece/tx - pooh -- have you checked out the montessori chat board yet?
pooh - Some of our students are now in 5th grade
pooh - No, I haven't . Where is it?
Addie/mo - wow! how does montessori work in the older grades?
Hockeyrabbit - bye everyone
Hockeyrabbit - thanks addie for your site
Addie/mo - bye hockey
Addie/mo - youre welcome
pooh - It is a bit of a challenge. We have 2 grade levels per teacher.
meeha/ece/tx - If you go to http://www.teachers.net and follow the link to chat boards, scroll down and you'll bump into it -- on the left side of the screen.
meeha/ece/tx - (but don't leave now, pooh!)
pooh - I'll try later. Thank you so much meeha!
Addie/mo - do the parents choose the track for their kids or is it random? do they stay in the montessori track (or the other track) once they start?
meeha/ece/tx - pooh -- this is a GREAT resource at every level! Take some time to wander around some day ... you'll be amazed!
pooh - Since I have the primary class (4 yr. olds) and some 3's I choose those who will continue through and then some are added if needed from other classes
meeha/ece/tx - small school, pooh? split grade levels can be rather wearing on teachers after awhile!
pooh - Yes . It is a small school and an at risk school
meeha/ece/tx - is montessori proving to be an effective tool in preparing the students for future success?
Addie/mo - pooh, how do you determine which students should be in the montessori track?
pooh - Try the website www. readinga-z.com
pooh - Yes meeha. It is . The children are doing very well.
meeha/ece/tx - hi, two!
meeha/ece/tx - i'll check it out soon, pooh!
pooh - The website has free books to download for your students.
Addie/mo - hi two
pooh - Hello two
Addie/mo - i have looked at that site. neat resource.
meeha/ece/tx - i'll check it out soon, pooh -- thanks!
pooh - yes it is really helpful and the books are wonderful .
meeha/ece/tx - Hi, Rita!
Rita/KY - Hi all!
Addie/mo - hi rita
pooh - Hello, Rita
meeha/ece/tx - two, are you a teacher?
Rita/KY - I need some ideas for teaching them to recognize numbers 11-20.
meeha/ece/tx - Rita -- do you know the "Mitten Song"? (Thumb in the thumb place, fingers all together. This is the song we sing in mitten weather.)
meeha/ece/tx - I sing to my kiddos --- One in the tens place, three goes in the ones place, that's the way to write thirteen!
Rita/KY - Yes I we sing that song.
Rita/KY - Hey that's a neat idea meeha!
meeha/ece/tx - Works all the way up through 99!
pooh - Rita , do you have access to base ten material?
meeha/ece/tx - Hi, NEteach!
Rita/KY - I have one little fellow that says "eleventeen, twelveteen" His mom is concerned but I think it is just something he will outgrow.
Rita/KY - Pooh, do you mean like the base ten blocks?
meeha/ece/tx - Rita -- he's got the concept ... he'll get over it ... that sounds good to me!
Addie/mo - i am homebound tutoring a k'r and we are working on this. i give her a stack of 10 black unfix cubes and then i have different amounts in different colors. she chooses a set of cubes, snaps it to the black stack and counts them. then she writes the numeral on a chalkboard
pooh - Yes, Rita. and do you have a lesson that they can do induvidually where they can count objects under each numeral 11-20 like flat marbles
meeha/ece/tx - Hi Pam!
Rita/KY - Addie, I have been doing something similiar to that. We put our cubes in tens, then put our "leftovers" beside the stack of ten and write the number.
Pam - Hello everyone!
Addie/mo - i also thought we would practice some air tracing and tracing on backs. my kinders in class used to like to partner and write on each other's backs
meeha/ece/tx - a dime and pennies would work well, too!
Rita/KY - The other kindergarten teacher tells me to stop worrying that they will get it. I guess I feel more worried because I haven't taught k in so long.
Rita/KY - I like the idea of tracing on one another's backs. I used to do that with the alphabet with my own daughters.
pooh - Meeha , good idea
meeha/ece/tx - air tracing, back tracing, crawling the number, shaving cream, pasta numbers, writing in jello -- salt -- sugar -- .....
Addie/mo - rita, do you calendar time or count the days that you have been in school? when i taught k, i found that the kids did usually pick up on the numeral rec from these activiites and i didnt worry about it. with homebound i work with the child 5 to 6 hours a week, so we dont have that type of routine
Rita/KY - Wow, you guys are great!
meeha/ece/tx - Addie -- will her mom do "calendar time" with her each day?
Rita/KY - I do calendar every day, we count days we have been in school. Friday will be our 100th day.
NEteach - Hello! Pardon me for just watching for a bit - I've never visited a chatroom before.
Addie/mo - meeha, how do you do crawling the number....my little one is a "mover and shaker". she would like this
meeha/ece/tx - Hi NETeach! come on in and join the fun!
pooh - Have them make their own set of sandpaper numerals to take home . you can have a parent help you to cut them out
Addie/mo - i have tried to get her to work on things between visits and they are not good about it
Addie/mo - hi neteach
pooh - Hi Catherine
meeha/ece/tx - just crawl the first numeral, walk -- or roll -- or ??? -- to the starting point on the next numeral and go for it (I was just seeking some very kinesthetic activity!)
catherine - hi ya
Addie/mo - rita, they will get it eventually then, i am sure
Rita/KY - The thing that worries me is that on our progress report, all my students are supposed to have mastered numbers 1-20 by the middle of February. I know that this is not going to happen for some of my students.
meeha/ece/tx - Rita -- most of them will. Do they need to recognize the numerals or the concept of 20?
Rita/KY - Oops I got bumped off.
Tom - Hi-This was my first day in school, at 59 yrs- as a RSVP volunteer. Right now im just listenin andlearnin. I agree, you guys are great
meeha/ece/tx - hi Toby and Kinder!
Kinder/Mo - hello
Rita/KY - meeha, they are tested on both.
meeha/ece/tx - Hi TOm!
Rita/KY - Hi Tom!
Addie/mo - rita, mine was supposed to know through 15 at the end of dec, but she didnt. i had to mark progressing, instead of mastered on that . but there were a few other things too. i think she will be okay by the end of the year
Rita/KY - I wish that we didn't have to do all this end of the sixth weeks testing. If they would wait until the end of the year, it would be better.
meeha/ece/tx - I focus my IEP goals on matching numeral to number in set (hence, 1:1 correspondence) at very basic (1 - 5 or 1 - 10) levels in my preschool settinng ... if they get the earlier concepts the larger numbers will follow.
Rita/KY - It is amazing to me how far these little fellows have come since August.
Kinder/Mo - I find that giving the children a lot of hands on counting experiece with manipulatives helps
meeha/ece/tx - Firmly set the concept of 1:1 correspondence first!
pooh - Meeha, I agree. The others will come
Addie/mo - i always found that in k they really kicked into gear at the end of feb, beginning of march. the best is yet to come!
Rita/KY - I agree Kinder. I use all kinds of manipulatives in my room
Kinder/Mo - 1:1 is important for numbers, and for sounds as well.
Rita/KY - I had a little boy say something cute. He has realized that he can sound out and read words . He picked up a little short A book I have, and brought it to me. He read the first page without any help, then said, "You know this reading business is getting pretty easy."
Kinder/Mo - sometimes it seems to be a developmental stage when this concept finally kicks in
Addie/mo - that is cute! LOL
meeha/ece/tx - we used to count who came to school today (tune: farmer in dell) looking for boys ... girls ... teachers ... total ... got to compare groups sizes, talk about more and less, and worked on basic addition all at once. ... and the kids never understood that we were working on "hard" math concepts!
Kinder/Mo - Rita, that is when I feel like jumping up in the air and waving my fist!
Rita/KY - I know what you mean Kinder! I gave him a high five!
Addie/mo - meeha, i think that is the best way to go. when the kids are working on hard concepts, but they are having so much fun they dont notice they are learning. LOL! i think that learning should be fun.
Rita/KY - That is one of the things I missed most about teaching the little people. You just don't see that "lightbulb go off" with the older kids.
Addie/mo - i liked those lightbulb times too!
Rita/KY - I agree Addie! My principal observed me this year, and stayed much longer than he was scheduled to. He later told me that he was having so much fun in my class he didn't want to leave.
Addie/mo - that is great, rita.
meeha/ece/tx - Rita -- I"ve seen a couple of moms leave my room in tears this year when their child said "bye-bye mama" for the very first time right there in my room! so exciting!
Kinder/Mo - I have a tough bunch this year. I have 13 boys and 6 girls.
Addie/mo - that is a lot of boys!
Rita/KY - That makes it tougher doesn't it kinder? I have 17 boys and 8 girls.
Kinder/Mo - I have 1 that has an IEp in BD and two or three more heading that way in the future.
NEteach - My class is a dream - 7 students in all day kindergarten.
Tom - each of those girls has more than 2 boys to teach
Kinder/Mo - It is a challenge.
Addie/mo - yikes!
Rita/KY - Wow NE. That is wonderful!
Kinder/Mo - My darling little girls have their problems too.
NEteach - AND the girls outnumber the boys 4 to 3!
Rita/KY - Would you believe my biggest discipline problem is a little girl? She terrorizes those boys.
Addie/mo - i cant imagine only 7 students
Kinder/Mo - But they are making progress.
meeha/ece/tx - NE ... you don't have conflicts due to the small size of your group? I always found 12 to be about the smallest group I wanted to work with
Rita/KY - She reminds me of Lucy in the Charlie Brown comics.
Kinder/Mo - Rita, yes, one of my girls is a behavior / special case child
Addie/mo - probably the worst discipline problem i had in 11 years was a girl
meeha/ece/tx - out of 20 students only 3 are girls for my classroom, but that is fairly common in kiddos with developmental delays!
twob4pr - any one do guided reading in kdg
meeha/ece/tx - absolutely, Addie -- the most challenging students I've ever had came this year ... and is a beautiful girl!
Kinder/Mo - Some of the behavior problems are emotional based. But it is hard to get extra help when they need it
NEteach - No. It is just like a family - minus the conflicts. I emphasize kindness and respect.
meeha/ece/tx - there are days when it takes THREE of us to control her outbursts!
meeha/ece/tx - Hi jan!
Kinder/Mo - I have two that came in reading at levels 20 and 28.
Addie/mo - no, but our school is with the missouri reading initiative and we will eventually be working with fountas and pinnell guided reading in grades k-3
Jan3 - Hi!
Addie/mo - hi jan
twob4pr - great
twob4pr - heir guided reading book is fantastic
Kinder/Mo - We are doing Building Blocks, but I am individualizing for my readiers
twob4pr - we have it in our 1st grade and it is wonderful
twob4pr - students are really reading
Kinder/Mo - readers . sorry
Addie/mo - we are in the process of studying guided reading and how to implement it
twob4pr - hoping kdg will start yet this year or definately next year with GR
NEteach - I'm using Spalding for the first time this year. Any success stories?
Rita/KY - Well folks, I need to go to bed. I had early bus duty this morning then stayed to help with Family Reading Night. I am tired, gee I don't know why.
twob4pr - most important is getting training on running records and teaching for strategies
Kinder/Mo - About half of my students are beginning to read the simple readers ./predible sentences
Addie/mo - bye rita
twob4pr - est can be picked up from reading
meeha/ece/tx - 'nite, Rita. take care
Kinder/Mo - I am going back tomorrow after being out for a few days.
Addie/mo - missouri reading initiative is a three year process for implementing balanced literacy. we have practiced some running records in the workshop sessions. i am not sure how many teachers are using them yet
twob4pr - not only do you have to know how to do them but it is bvery important to learn how to analyze them
Kinder/Mo - We are to do DRA for each of our students by the end of kindergarten To establish a baseline
Addie/mo - where were you, kinder?
twob4pr - 's how yu know what to teach nest or what strategies you need to teach tem
meeha/ece/tx - I'm staying home tomorrow ... kind of feeling like I got hit by a truck today ...
meeha/ece/tx - 'nite all.
Addie/mo - kinder, what if a student is not ready for DRA?
twob4pr - sorry
twob4pr - reason the beginnings of some words not coming out
Kinder/Mo - We will record that as well. I am in Jefferson Co. near St. Louis
twob4pr - do you do any writing samples or dictation or concepts about print testing?
Addie/mo - kinder, i didnt mean where you live, although that is interesting...i meant why werent you at school
Addie/mo - btw, i am in southwest mo...seneca
Kinder/Mo - I hope and believe that most of my kinders will be at at least a level 1- or 2.
twob4pr - i'm a reading recovery teacher from pa
Addie/mo - that will be good.
twob4pr - ld be thrilled to have students coming in at those levels!!!
Kinder/Mo - Twob4pr, Are you familiar with the Early Literacy Program by Linda Dorn?
twob4pr - out of ohio state?
Kinder/Mo - I may have a few that wont reach that level, but If I don't aim high, it won't happen.
Addie/mo - with the initiative, kinder gives marie clay's concepts about print for all and dra if they are ready, but our trainer did say that many of the kids would be ready to try dra by the end of the year
Addie/mo - high expectations are good!
twob4pr - it is good to do dra with all
Kinder/Mo - Twob4, out of The Uof Ark/
twob4pr - ts youknow if they are above ,on or below level
twob4pr - no
twob4pr - sorry
Addie/mo - taking off! night all!
Kinder/Mo - I took a class on it this past summer, but have not talked with anyone using it.
twob4pr - don't know why some of my letters aren't coming up when i type
Kinder/Mo - night, all
twob4pr - night
