Genie - Hi Jan...I'm EC\Gen
Jan of MI - I am an NBCT MCGen
CB - I am new to this: what area are you working on?
Carolyn - Hi...I'm also new....EAYA art
kim - Any bankers out there?
CB - I am emcArt
CB - I am a banker, too
Jan of MI - I was a banker for one year now NBCT
CB - I am new on chatting
Genie - congrats, Jan...I know you are relieved
kim - I am a banker in EC-Gen.
Genie - kim, what area?
CB - Well, this is my 3rd year - only put in one entry for retake last year due to illnesses of my elderly parents.
CB - I have to finish it this year.
Jan of MI - I have been cert. since last year. It is a great feeling
Jan of MI - what will you be redoing CB?
CB - To all who are NB cert. - also, congrats!
CB - Entries 1 & 4, plus will retake 3 assessments.
wizzlewolf - Well Well Well JAN OF MI!!!!!!! How are you????
Jan of MI - Hi Wizzle!!
CB - I don't know it it will be overkill - but I am determined to make it.
Jan of MI - I am great. I have been busy sending people to wizzlewolf. com for help
wizzlewolf - Long time no see!! ((((((((((((((Jan)))))))))))))))
Jan of MI - I have been busy. not much time for chatting
Carolyn - Somebody sent me to Wizzle on Wednesday and I'm feeling better about all this.
wizzlewolf - Oh gee. send them to JAN OF MI. You are the great banker turned NBCT with the most confidence I have ever seen!
Jan of MI - CB Are you in a yahoo group?
CB - Yes - a couple.
Carolyn - I've been busy READING, reading, reading lately.
Jan of MI - lol, wizzle
Genie - ok...I'm new at this....what is wizzlewolf???? : )
Jan of MI - I don't have the tech savy for my very own website
wizzlewolf - It is good to see everybody tonight. This room was getting so lonely it had an echo on Saturday night.
wizzlewolf - Genie, are you a NB candidate?
Jan of MI - wizzlewolf is an NBCT turned mentor
Genie - yes, EC-Gen
Jan of MI - she has her own website with lots of support for candidates.
Genie - cool....
Jan of MI - you can find her site at wizzlewolf.com
Genie - I will definitely check it out!!!!
wizzlewolf - wizzlewolf is my alter ego. I am an NBCT and big time mentor. Go to my website sometime and see how I am addicted to helping candidates.
wizzlewolf - www.wizzlewolf.com/nbc.html
Genie - bless you wizzle!!! I'm feeling a little overwhelmed right now.
Becky - How is everyone tonight?
origami888 - hi wizzle--I'm lurk and occasioanally post on the music group
origami888 - and i cannot type--at all
wizzlewolf - Hi origami, of course, I recognize your name!
wizzlewolf - Becky are you a candidate too?
Becky - I'm newly ec_gen certified. Yeah!
Jan of MI - Congrats ((((((((((((becky)))))))))))))))
Genie - What grade Becky? I teach K
wizzlewolf - Congratulations Becky!! Hey, I have a question for you...
Becky - Thanks! It's a great feeling.
Becky - 2nd
Holley - I was reading the new Change to Certification denial or revocation policy. Has there been some problem with people giving out too much information? I was hoping that I could get some help tonight but didn't want to ask the wrong questions. I am a banker and I want to get it right this time. I have chosen not to take any of the assessments but thought I would have more control over the entries. Let me know if I am asking too much.
Becky - Yes. wizzle
wizzlewolf - Becky, do you understand the "BIG IDEA" in entry one for ECGEN?
Jan of MI - Holley, don't worry we are vetran mentors. We know where to draw the line.
Becky - Yes!
wizzlewolf - Holley, you are doing OK so far!! LOL
Becky - The big idea is like a roof of a house. It covers it all.
wizzlewolf - Becky, would you like to mentor someone who needs lots of help with that???
donna - ok. what have I missed?? I need some insight on how/what to study for the assessment center. Evidently, even though I typed the whole time, they didn't like what I wrote.
origami888 - at least you got to type...
Becky - Yes, I was mentored. That's why I understand.
origami888 - gh for me-that might have been worse tahn my handwriting
wizzlewolf - She just wrote me and begged me for help on that issue and I don't want to lead her astray. Could you please help her understand that?
Jan of MI - Donna what area
donna - I guess I guess i should have been specific- Elem. /middle art
Becky - Who?
wizzlewolf - OK Becky, I am going to send you her email address privately. Watch the bottom of your screen for a private message.
CB - That is my area too and I plan to retake some assessments.
Genie - I have just finished the first draft of Entry 4-accomplishments...any pointers?
wizzlewolf - Becky, I just sent you a private message. Look down at the bottom. Did you get it?
Jan of MI - Genie, what ever DA you enter make sure that you can tie it in to how it befifs children
Becky - It's a hard concept to get. Even though I feel I understand, that was my lowest score. It was my best entry, but they didn't like the way I wrote it up.
donna - wizzlewolf- I need to thank you for encouraging me. I am looking at some art history books for the high school level. I am unsure though what I did wrong,,,
Becky - yes
Genie - I think I've done that...how many accomplishments should I include?
Becky - I'll e-mail her.
wizzlewolf - Donna, I understand why you feel that way. Did you look at the SCORING GUIDE. It defines what the levels are even for assessment center exercises.
Jan of MI - It is not the number so much as the quality. Things that directly affect you kids or kids in your school are important
wizzlewolf - Becky, well if you email her and just try to help her understand it, I am sure it will make her feel more confident.
donna - I did look at the scoring guides, but the difference in a 4 and a 3 is the word consistently
Genie - Thanks, Jan...I know I will tear them apart...just want to be sure I'm doing them right! : )
wizzlewolf - Yes Jan is right. QUALITY not quantity. REMEMBER student achievement is the KEY.
Jan of MI - I even used my union activities because of how the things I did had a positive impact on children. Things like negotiating for class size language
Genie - ok...I'll read back over them...some affect the whole school and most just my class
wizzlewolf - Donna, I sat down last night and really looked at the scoring guides for EAYA art and I think I see why some people slip up. Read them until you know it by heart.
Becky - I used my webpage, my newsletter, and my homework policy.
Jan of MI - Genie another important thing is to give evidence not just describe.
wizzlewolf - Hi ANNEK!!!
donna - wizzlewolf- ok- is there an updated guide or should I go by the one I had??
annk - Hello..just listening right now...
Genie - thanks, Jan...
annk - thanks for your help with a mentor today
Holley - Okay, I am working on entry 1 and 3. I am EAYA/Art . In Entry 1 I wrote about my six week term. I went in great detail about each project. I put in the State Standards and the District Middle school standards. The overarching goal was Students will create 2 and 3 dimensional art work in various media and incourporates the elements and principles of design. Was that too broad? I went from a review of 1 point perspective and how to show depth in a picture. It was the front of their folder so the perspective project was their name. Then I went to a project call Floating forms where we reviewed line, shape, tecture, form and value. I then went to a 3-d project where we studied Russian Faberge eggs. From there I went to ceramic to make teapots and back to drawing a still life. So, what do you think? I need feed back since we didn't get any from the assessors....or can you do that?
wizzlewolf - Donna, that is the question of the week. I would ASSUME you should go by the one you have. However, it would not hurt at all to take a look at the 2002 Scoring guide available online.
Jan of MI - Holley, The big thing is The NBPTS standards. Everything has to tie to those standards. And the ties have to have evidence. It is great to address content standards but you are assessed on the NBPTS standards for each entry.
Genie - Becky, what is a good "big idea" for a sink/float activity where the kids had to design a boat that would carry cargo? I thought about change, but now I'm not so sure
donna - Wizzle- I got the Assume part and I think I might clalify for the first part after the way I acted Friday- but oh well
wizzlewolf - Holley, your overarching goal is broad and maybe a bit general. However, to ask anyone to make a judgement on one descriptive paragraph of what you did is unrealistic. It is not so much what you did, but how you wrote the entire entry.
osvaldo - hello genie
Genie - hi osvaldo...
annk - There is a difference of about 18 pages in the two scoring guides...but I think the new one isn't much different...it did leave out some charts etc...only finding a few changes ...additional wording to explain...but i have only looked at two closely Number 1 and Number 4
wizzlewolf - Donna, the reason I said "assume" is because I never know what NB has up its sleeve. Someone asked me about which scoring guide is which just the other day. I told them to ask NB.
Kteach - hi guys, anyone here assessed entries?
osvaldo - hello mi name is osvaldo belmares
Holley - Would it be better to be more specific and then step by step tie each activity to the standards or at least one at a time?
wizzlewolf - AnnK, which subject area are you doing?
origami888 - just curious--is there a scoring guide for music?
annk - Elem. art
wizzlewolf - Hi osvaldo. Are you a NB candidate/ mentor????
Holley - Hi AnnK, You are from MO aren't you? I'm glad to see you on here.
wizzlewolf - Origami , YES
Kteach - From the looks of this chat it doesn't look like Early Childhood Generalists candidates. Am I in the wrong meeting room?
Jan of MI - Holley I incorporated the language of the standards in my write up
wizzlewolf - Oh that is why your name is so familiar!!
annk - Hello Holley...good to hear from you too...
Genie - Kteach...I missed the one at 4:00...I'm ec/gen
wizzlewolf - Origami, look down. I will send you a private message.
Kteach - Hi Genie, are your a candidate or mentor?
annk - How do you send a private message???
Genie - I'm a candidate
osvaldo - o.k good
Kteach - How are you doing on your entries Genie?
osvaldo - not
wizzlewolf - Ann, do you see the "SEND TO" box at the bottom, click the arrow and all the various names will come up. Pick a name and type the message
osvaldo - o really ,,I m in houston texas
Genie - So far, I videoed Entry 3 last week..and typed up Entry 4 yesterday
annk - Thanks...this is my first chat....
kay - Is everyone here advanced candidates or new candidates?
Genie - mine, too!
annk - new candidate
wizzlewolf - Ann, you will be a pro soon. Jan of Mi and I used to do this all the time when we were candidates
donna - Is there a Elem/middle art person that is in Charleston, SC or close to it?
Carolyn - I'm a new EAYA art candidate...just getting started
Gatorlady31 - MIne too! I'm a new MC Gen candidate.
Kteach - That's about where I'm at. Entry 4 is nearly finished except for documented accomplishements. I'm in the middle of entry 3 and entry 1 but stumped on entry 2. I have to be done earlier than most because i'm expecting.
Genie - Congratulations, Kteach....
wizzlewolf - Donna, did you ask that question on the art listserv? I bet there is one near you on the list.
origami888 - wizzle-I didn't get your message--maybe cos I'm on a mac?
Kteach - Thanks, so have you given entry 2 much thought yet?
origami888 - oops==i think i found it
osvaldo - when you are ready for to be a teacher?
Jan of MI - Gator, I am MC Gen NBCT
kay - Are there any Career and Tech candidates on board? I'm a new NBCT in Career/Tech.
wizzlewolf - You didnt' get it. OK I will send it on the screen then. It is not a MAC problem. I use MACs too and they work fine with this interface. Hold on, here is the URL for the scoring guides.
origami888 - nope--didn't get the message--can you tell me where on NB site I can find it (even approximately?)
wizzlewolf - http://www.nbpts.org/candidates/scoringguides.cfm
Holley - Our district is concentrating reading. The district is looking into cutting minutes from the arts again. I have been trying to show how you read for content in art. Should I include this and show how I use it in entry 3?
wizzlewolf - Kay, are you a member of the Career/Tech listserve?
origami888 - thanks wizzle!! it's so ez I feel a ltittle silly asking for it now
Gatorlady31 - Jan, Nice to meet you. I don't really have any questions but thought I'd "listen in" to pick up hints. Just getting started in the process.
wizzlewolf - HEY that is what I am here for!! I was a newbie once too.
kay - Yes I am as well as the florida, vocational and advanced groups.
Kteach - So Genie, have you given much thought to entry 2 yet?
Jan of MI - Gator are you a member of any of the listservs for MCgen?
wizzlewolf - Holley, welcome to the club. If I get any more "free time" due to more academics, I am going to go crazy.
wizzlewolf - HEY SWATTIE!!!!!!!!!!!
Swattie - Hiya!
Gatorlady31 - No.
wizzlewolf - WOW Kay, you are a busy person!!
Kteach - Genie, what grade do you teach?
wizzlewolf - GATOR, are you winning the football game tonight?
CB - Donna, did you get my private reply to your question as to who is near Charleston, S.C.?
Genie - Kteach...I think I'll do it in Jan...use MLK's I have a dream speech..and let k students rewrite it as a choral speaking play
kay - wizzle, you should talk.
Gatorlady31 - I wish I knew. My TV doesn't get the local channel that the game is on. It stinks!
annk - I am working on Entry 4...coming at it from the backside....Question...should I condense several accomplishments into one?? For example....I work on the state council in a variety of ways....should I list it as one accomplishment or list each one separately...they all fit into the category of leader and collaborator and impact student learning indirectly through their teachers
Jan of MI - Gator, go to Wizzlewolf.com and follow the links for the MCGen groups. I moderate one called MCGENONLY. there is lots of support
Swattie - I am considering the same thing, annk
Kteach - that sounds great. I'm thinking of doing something with the farm unit we are doing right now but can't for the life of me figure out a great way to incoroprate the arts. Thought of possibly doing some type of square dancing, just seems like a show instead of authentic teaching.
kay - I have the game on and the gators are behind, 17-6
wizzlewolf - annK, that is your decision. As long as you follow the portfolio directions and MAKE SURE you answer the questions for each entry, the way you write the entry is your decision.
wizzlewolf - I am getting the game now. I will check the score.
origami888 - wow, wizzle--I passed but I REALLY wish I'd had a scoring guide last year!!!!
Becky - I did that with mine. I combined all committee work, academic work, etc. into categories and then looked for documentation;.
wizzlewolf - OUCH FLA 6 FSU 17......BOOOOOO!!!
Gatorlady31 - Jan, thank you. I will visit the site. Kay- thanks for the update, even if it is a bummer!
Kteach - Sounds great, I need my taping done soon if at all possible. where do you live Genie?
Becky - A scoring guide would have been useful.
Genie - annk ...could you tie that to community helpers?
Holley - I had lots of stuff about what I have done with organizations, groups and I found it hard to show student achievement with hard evidence. Is a letter from a parent considered clear and convincing?
Holley - Scoring guide would have been very useful!
Kteach - annk, I did alot of little ones under one accomplishment. That is what my mentors recommended and it seemed to flow well.
kay - Kteach, how about using different type of grain or crop products to produce a painting or art project/collage/prints, etc.?
Carolyn - Is an email from a parent ok to use...or does it need to be signed
wizzlewolf - Holley, letters from parents are great. Make sure you tie EVERYTHING into student achievement though.
origami888 - does anyne know-do the candidates automatically get the scoring guides now, or should I be mentioning the guides to candidates?
Kteach - Kay that sounds neat. Here is my question. My mentor seems to think I need to bring in the "arts" and not necessarily have the children make "art" I'm just not real sure about what is expected I guess. Are you a mentor Kay?
wizzlewolf - Carolyn, contact the parent and get a verification form signed about one of your accomplishments. Don't use and email.
Swattie - Wizzle, how about a letter from a parent that states the program not only helped the student in music, but in his whole outlook of school? What accomplishment is that? Parent Communication?
kay - holly, I used a letter from a parent in my doc. of accomp. and it must have worked.
wizzlewolf - Origami, just about EVERYTHING is online and candidates have to get it online, EVEN THE PORTFOLIO DIRECTIONS!
annk - I have specific examples with the legislature action, projects that have been done because of the contact that show student and community involvement
origami888 - thnks wizzle--so, what comes in the box now?
wizzlewolf - Swattie, that sounds like a TERRIFIC piece of evidence. Yeah, parent communicatin would be great.
annk - Scoring guide (2001) came in my box in Oct.
wizzlewolf - Not much. A CD and a few papers and LOTS of labels.
Swattie - I guess that I didn't really consider letters from parents as an accomplishment....
origami888 - lol. I still have labels!
origami888 - Swattie which music are you?
kay - Gatorlady, halftime, same score.
wizzlewolf - AnnK, that is why there is a bit of confusion. The scoring guides online say "Effective November 2002". weird
annk - no labels ...but they sent them to me later
Swattie - Origami888, I'm early music, orchestra
Kteach - So Kay, if I were to do something like you mentioned, would that be my actual video tape segment?
Gatorlady31 - Kay-thanks.
wizzlewolf - No Swattie, the letter isn't the accomplishment! You would write the accomplishment and have a parent verify it via a letter.
annk - I know..that was my question...there are two different guides.
Swattie - Origami888, are you music?
Kteach - What grade do you teach Kay?
wizzlewolf - ((((((((((((Zora)))))))))))))
origami888 - Swattie--eaya music--finsihed last yr, got my good news last week. teach hs band
zora - hi wizzle
Swattie - Wizzle, so the letter is documentation of parent communication? Or what?
kay - kteach, I teach 7-12th, maximum security prison for male juvenile offenders in Florida
annk - Not two guides but two versions...the newer one is online
Swattie - Origami888, I miss hs and ms! The little guys just don't get me!
Kteach - what part of Florida are you in Kay? I'm in Flordia too.
wizzlewolf - That is why there tends to be a bit of confusion with NB. Why did they make a new scoring guide effective November 2002. This is very weird.
Swattie - Congrats!
origami888 - lol!! i'm scared of anyone who's less than 4 ft tall!
Swattie - When I had to add "go blow your nose" to my daily repertoire of things I say every day...I knew I was in trouble!
annk - I have taught all grades K-College and it is all fun....I laugh everyday with the little ones...
origami888 - Swattie--i kept a parent contact log
kay - kteach, I'm in Okeechobee
Swattie - What!!! They changed the scoring?!?!
wizzlewolf - Swattie, document parent contact through your contact log. I was saying a letter from a parent can serve as evidence (an artifact) or an accomplishment you write about in Entry 4.
Genie - hey, swattie, I deal with them everyday...I teach K...but they do make life interesting!!!!!
origami888 - ...of individual contacts (you must have a ton in orchestra)--I included ingoing and outgoing calls and emails as well as incedentail contacts at games, at the gym, at church)
annk - I'd like to be in Florida!!! lol
wizzlewolf - Swattie. LOL LOL "blow your nose"???? what??
origami888 - I put together an excerpt page and submitted that
Kteach - annk, where are you at?
Swattie - I have a parent contact log....but its for this year. I do so much of it that it never occured to me to keep track of it!
wizzlewolf - Swattie, a log for this year is great!
Holley - I am trying to use a Differentiation unit on Entry 3 –Learning to Study, Interpret, and Evaluate Art. In it I am working on adding Power Writing as an assignment. My question to you all is this – Are these teaching strategies familiar to you all or are these just a local/state buzzword strategies? If you all don’t use them am I working to hard on something that is not valued in the NB process? The "research" says it raises student achievement. The trick is to show how I use these strategies to raise student achievement in my class right? I have to show my principal that I am using these stratetgies in my classroom and I really don't want to work on more than I have to at this point. Board office display is due up on Wed.
annk - Misery, Boys! lol
Swattie - Oh yeah...my other thing that I have to say is "get your fingers out of your mouth, no one wants to play on a wet violin!"
donna - wizzle- I can't get the online scoring guide to come up for art- just the coding
origami888 - I made sure the ones I picked hit specific things I wanted to mention--like making adjustments in teaching for a student's health issues; helping with financial issues; behavior, clllege plans, etc
zora - I'm planning on keeping a parent contact log for every accomplishment plus I will get parents to writ glowing letters about the accomplishments for Entry 4
Kteach - so Kay, with your expertise in agriculture, can you think of any other suggestions for tying in the arts with the farm unit?
origami888 - and I made sure the ones I submitted were such that we had more than one cntact (follow-up/ongoing conversations)
Holley - AnnK is my co-worker that flew the coupe- I could use you here now. Your replacement is a liablility.
annk - Donna...had the same trouble...finally got it up but couldn't save....only could print online
CB - Donna, do you live in Chas'ton, S.C.?
Kteach - Kay I'm in Inverness Florida, but I used to live just west of Okeechobee in the arm pit of Florida otherwise known as Moore Haven
donna - Hey Holley- I'm wanting to try a different approach to #3. They didn't much care for what I wrote .
annk - Holley....I could use you here too!!!!!!!!!!!
origami888 - LOL swattie!! I had to tell a hisgh schooler to "stop likcing your viola--it's distracting" btw, I can spell, I just cannot type
wizzlewolf - Ok Holley, this is the scoop. It is OK to use your own district jargon or even regional educational trends. All you have to do is add an explanation of what you are talking about so if the assessor isn't familiar, your explanation will explain it all.
annk - I can type and spell but not always at the same time
Swattie - Origami888, thats pretty funny!
origami888 - i like that annk
donna - CB- hey I live at Pawleys Island. I was the only one going through the process this past year. I had help with someone that was not in art, but I now know I need an art person!!!!!!!
Swattie - I'm spelling disabled.
origami888 - i keep a list of things i cannot believe I actually had to say to high schoolers
wizzlewolf - For example, My district is a BALDRIGE district. We do everything using "QUALITY CONCEPTS". I bet a lot of you have never heard of that. However, if I wrote an entry I would explain Baldrige and Quality and then move on.
Becky - Wizzle, I just went to your website. I wish I had known about it last year. It's great!
Carolyn - origami...we need to write a book
CB - Donna: I live in Kingstree, just north of Charleston.
annk - I know I need an art person too...that 's why I 'm here and so glad all of you are here too!!!
zora - Oh yes donna . . . I had help from a great EAYA English mentor. . But we all nee art mentors
wizzlewolf - Becky, I don't see how you missed it! You must not have been online much. I am online too much.
origami888 - you have a collection, too, carolyn?
donna - Cb- we need to get together!!!
Holley - Thanks, Wizzle, that helps.
Becky - I was veeerrrrryyy busy!
CB - I am a banker, but can sure stand to share the misery with someone who can at least talk the jargon.
Becky - I did find Rose's site. That is a nice link to the standards.
Carolyn - yes, origami...I have to stay one step ahead of them...HS
origami888 - my book would not be sappy like "Stand and Deliver" or "dangerous Minds"
CB - Click on my nickname in blue at the top and send me your email address.
wizzlewolf - Holley and EVERYBODY, remember to explain everything in your text. DO NOT ASSUME the assessor will "get it" or take the time to figure it out. THEY WON"T. That is what the "clear and concise" stuff means.
Kteach - Before I go, I am writing another paper.... NOT to change the subject... but just curious of what everyone considers to be the majo public education issues of today. ANy suggestions???
donna - CB- I am also a recovering banker....... we need some extra help too--wizzle???!!!!
CB - I have a son who lives in Charleston and he received his NB cert on his first try this year in Early Adolescence Math.
Kteach - 4 years Kay, i moved out in 98
CB - I can visit him and spend some quality time with you on some of this.
annk - Reading is the big push in MO
donna - Math is cut and dry. Art is not. Congrats for your son though!!
Kteach - ooo, Kay, you have cool ideas, keep them flowing. haha
Swattie - I really need help with entry 4...still....I think that I have changed it too much. I am second, third, fourth...guessing myself. Now I'm really confused on what to present, and what to delete. What I have can be linked to student learning, but then someone says to me why not include the field trips? I included the guests that I had come in to give the kids first hand experiences, and one was definately a role model for the students.
Kteach - sounds great, I'll do that
Becky - Major education issues of today..... let me think. Could it be high stakes testing? Standards that no one but the gifted can reach? Lack of money for education? Our district is taking a $1 million hit this year.
CB - It was not so cut and dry with his videos - but I agree to some extent.
origami888 - swattie--do you have a non-music person in your district who is an NCT who can help you choose stuff for 4? I had an English teacher friend help me--she was great about helping me realize what stuff to inc
Swattie - Well, that who told me to change #4. I wasn't sure if she just didn't get music, or if she was right
wizzlewolf - Hey EVERYBODY, I want to thank you all for coming tonight. This has been really fruitful and a great chat!
CB - Donna - send me your email address.
annk - Assessment in all areas is another big ed. issue...as with NB
origami888 - some stuff i think we take for granted, and other stuff she pointed out hwo weak the link to students was
Holley - I am on the state committe for teacher certification.( funny I'm on the state committee I just can't seem to pass the NB) anyway, from all the reading I have been doing here are some big issues: closing the achievement gaps - minorities; profesional development and teacher finding time; and the biggie- lower classroom numbers and higher teacher pay.
genie - I would love to correspond with someone for EC-Gen...please email me privately if you are interested
wizzlewolf - CB and Donna, are you two on the "Advanced Candidates" listserv?
origami888 - remember Swattie, that the no 4assessors can be anyone, not just music folk
Kteach - genie, are you looking for a mentor or just someone who is as lost as you? haha
Swattie - Wizzle, are we leaving?
Becky - Genie, I am newly certified Ec-Gen.
genie - probably both, Kteach....
CB - Wizzie - yes.
wizzlewolf - No, you don't have to leave. I was just saying thank you before people left.
Becky - What do you teach, genie?
genie - Becky, that would be great. I am working with a certified teacher, but I'm not sure about some of her points she's giving me.
genie - I teach in GA
origami888 - Swattie--are you on music newsgroup in yahoo?
CB - Donna?
Swattie - Origami888, Ah...so what ever it is has to be explained and linked to studnet learning....(she says as a great light bulb illuminates the room)
Kteach - genie, I jotted down your email
genie - I teach K....I can't read either!! HA
Swattie - Origami888, yes, I'm on Yahoo
origami888 - lol swattie
Becky - My mentor was a K teacher. Where are you?
wizzlewolf - Well, our local art teachers are on an intranet. We keep in touch but everybody is too busy.
genie - I teach in Jackson, GA....between Atlanta and Macon
Swattie - Origami888, actually, its been very helpful, but I think that I think too much.
origami888 - cool swattie--i'll see you there. My sadistic chorus teacher has us in early am for Madrigal Dinners...@#%
Kteach - I'm going to go for tonight, nice chatting with you fellow teachers Goodnight
wizzlewolf - Opps, that was supposed to be a note to AnnK Tee HeE
Becky - I got to meet her at an NEA conference in November. It was like meeting Santa Claus.
genie - where was she from, Becky?
