liz - hey, jen
stephaniems - hey jen
jen - Hello
liz - jen, are you a candidate this year?
jen - yes
liz - how's it going?
stephaniems - me too jen
jen - I was just wondering how everyone else was coming along with their entries
stephaniems - i am basically done with 4; and have a ROUGH draft for 2
liz - i am a candidate it WAITING....it's the hardest part of the entire process
stephaniems - plan to finish 2 this weekend
jen - That's about where I'm at. I need to analyze my video
stephaniems - same here - exactly
jen - I have people proofing my entry 4, Hello Alice
liz - where are you in the process alice?
Alice - I am a MS student and this is my assignment to join a chat within teachers.net
liz - oh, ok, welcome
jen - What are you doing for entry 3- that one has me stumped
liz - I did a social skills lesson for a student who was very socially withdrawn....designed to help him "join in" an activity or conversation
stephaniems - i am planning on doing something with cooperation OR interactive play
stephaniems - preschoolers
jen - I teach K-4, most of my students have physical disabilities and MR. I have thought about manners or friendship.
LynnS - I am waiting for score release--I did my social skill on How to stop a Bully (or something like that-wording)
stephaniems - problem is that i don't really TEACH social skills, but rather design situations for them to interact naturally with typical peers (not for 15 minutes though! lol)
liz - friendship would be a good one....i found a really good social language program from linguisystems which i am using this year that has units on making friends
LynnS - The 15 minutes goes really fast--I had to cut most of my beginning of tape to show the "good stuff"
jen - Tell me more liz
liz - lynn....i also am a candidate in waiting....i have been an emotional wreck since nov.1
LynnS - Hey Liz--I've been guessing NEXT Friday for release, but just hoping it would be sooner I guess
jen - I feel for the two of you. I have 2 teachers in my building waiting on scores.
LynnS - There are five of us waiting in my school--I almost wish I was the only one--so no one would know if I passed or failed
LynnS - okay, I shouldn't say failed...
wizzlewolf - Hi Everybody! Are you all having fun yet?
stephaniems - ugh
stephaniems - and then some! lol
wizzlewolf - No failures here.
Alice - What type of scores are you guys waiting on?
jen - The candidates in waiting are stresssssed
liz - the name of the program is "Room 14...A Social Language Program ..for ages 6-10....Units on Making and Keeping Friends; fitting in at school...handling your feelings, using self control, and being responsible....it has a story for every lesson....pictures to go with the story....PLENTY of activities to go along with the skill you're teaching and step by step lesson guide to help you through each lesson....an activity book with activity sheets also comes with the lesson...what I like about it is that it breaks each social skill down into several subskills which are directly taught...
LynnS - The finala BIG one--certified or not yet
Alice - wow, you must be stressed!
stephaniems - alice - we are candidtates for national board certification for teachers...www.nbpts.org
Alice - How often can you take the exam?
wizzlewolf - I hate this time of year because of the waiting and then.....the good news and not so good news is very emotional.
jen - Thanks Liz
stephaniems - alice - it is more a process - you can do it for up to 3 years
liz - i am the only candidate in my school...sometimes i feel so alone in this process....until i log on to the yahoo group or get in this chat room
wizzlewolf - Liz, that can be a good thing and a bad thing. I wouldn't want to be one of a bunch at the same school all waiting for scores. To me that would be even more stressful.
jen - There are 3 of us in my building and 7 in the district.
liz - wizzlewolf...i have been to your site...a great help last year as i was going through the process...thanks
Alice - I am doing my Masters' in Instructional Technology and part of one of my assignments was to join a chat within teachers.net. So I am not experiencing half of what you guys are experiencing
LynnS - my point exactly
wizzlewolf - That's what it is there for Liz, you are very welcome.
liz - wizzlewolf....you are probably right...there are 3 others in my district that are CIW like myself
wizzlewolf - Well Alice, that is great. After your Masters, you can do NB!
stephaniems - the addy was passed out at my mentoring sessions...
wizzlewolf - Alice, have you ever attended a chat at tappedin.org? That would be a very good experience too.
sharon - can someone tell me how to get the yahoo chatroom
liz - hello sharon, are you a candidate this year?
sharon - yes i am
Alice - I am not sure I want to do NB; I am more interested in higher education
wizzlewolf - Sharon, are you talking about a Yahoo listserv?
sharon - yes
liz - good luck, sharon...how's it going?
sharon - going well just sorting thru everything
Alice - Wisslewolf, I am going to check that site out later. thanks!
LynnS - alice, I choose to do NB because I could do it at home--I have two small children
wizzlewolf - Alice, if you are interested in higher education, that is even a greater reason to do NB first. People in higher education need to know about this process and the trials and tribulations that go with it.
LynnS - maybe later I'll work on that PhD!!
liz - amen...wizzlewolf
sharon - wizzlewolf...
wizzlewolf - Sharon, what subject area do you want? Which listserv do you want to join and I will give you the address.
sharon - what are the options at yahoo?
wizzlewolf - I don't understand what you mean Sharon, What do you mean options?
Alice - I will be finished with my MS in August of 2003. Then I plan on applying to Ph.d programs
sharon - oh lots of them?
sharon - oh lots of them?
sharon - sorry i am not all that internet savy....
liz - CIWs.....do you think scores will be released on friday, 22nd?
LynnS - Yes, that's bben my guess for awhile..
sharon - high school ioooo
wizzlewolf - Liz, NOBODY knows when scores will be released. Don't even try to guess.
liz - i know....but i can't help it
LynnS - Wizzlewolf, yuo're probably right, but it gives us something to do--Ha ha!!
wizzlewolf - Sharon, are you a NB candidate?
wizzlewolf - Lynn, it may be something to do, but it adds stress.
liz - when did you certify, wizzlewolf?
wizzlewolf - One email I read today told of a CIW who made the NB home page her homepage so everyday it will pop up first thing. I thought that was a good idea. It takes away the guessing.
wizzlewolf - 1999
liz - don't you remember having these same feelings - trying to guess when scores would be released....just waiting...waiting...waiting....
LynnS - thank you liz
liz - great idea, wizzlewolf...i will make it my homepage....now, why didn't i think of that!
liz - it will be my homepage....but....i will still keep guessing....until the big day....it's just human nature
wizzlewolf - Actually, I remember if VERY well. However, I didn't try to guess. It was more like hope the torture would end. I have learned from the past few years of experience that speculation is wasted energy. If anything, I think it is wrong of NB to be so secretive and cause this kind of speculation.
stephaniems - i think it is wrong to just have 1 release date when there are multiple due dates for portfolios...imho
liz - i agree with you, wizzlewolf...it's almost as if they enjoy seeing us go through this torture(good word!)
jen - That's a very good point
LynnS - We didn't have multiple dates--it was due April
LynnS - for everyone
wizzlewolf - I find it ironic that their overall philosophy for teachers is to be so concise and direct, yet their own actions are a bit nebulous and convoluted.
jen - Mine is due in March
LynnS - (ENS that is...
stephaniems - oh yeah - i knew that...i mean for us 2002-2003 cand.
liz - when i logged on to the NB website and saw the NO NOV 15 (it's just a rumor) button....I amost felt as if they were secretly laughing at us all
stephaniems - i am due in march too jen
rob - my partner seems to be going nuts with all of this
liz - it is enough to drive you nuts!
liz - speced...i am in an emotional upheaval...have been since about nov 1.
Alice - I went to the NB website to learn more about what you guys are stressing about. This sounds like a very difficult process. I wish you all the best.
stephaniems - wizzle - spec - either of you been an assessor?
liz - thanks, alice...you are very kind
wizzlewolf - No, I will NEVER be an assessor. Ever, ever, ever, ever
Swattie - Just wanted to offer my support...
speced - I was thinking about it... but decided to enjoy my summer
liz - why not , wizzlewolf?
wizzlewolf - Spec, Smart!!!!!
jen - And are you sure about that- Wizzlewolf?
liz - thanks so much, swattie....we need it
LynnS - never say never...
Swattie - Never is a very very very long time.
Swattie - Remember Peter Pan???
speced - wizzle- LOl
wizzlewolf - Oh my goodness, lots of reasons. One reason is because they will accept anyone to be an assessor (even those not certified) and a BIG reason is because the pay is SO LOW. I am not going to waste my summer being a voluteer for NB.
liz - wizzlewolf...you seem so informed and involved ....you would do well as an assessor, I think
liz - oh, didn't know that wizzlewolf....can't much blame you
stephaniems - so what DO they do with the 2300 dollars?
wizzlewolf - Liz, I am informed because I study the workings of NB and speak to hundreds of candidates each week. However, I like being a free agent so I can see and speak both sides of the NB story. I don't want to become one of them.
Alice - Wow, $2300
rob - donate it to mental health research......
Swattie - Hummm...you mean that the people who are assessing all of this may or may not have gone through this whole process?!?
rob - thats what i heard....
liz - good points, wizzlewolf...there is always two sides...
stephaniems - they should rob - they send so many people that way
jen - How do they pick the assessors?
wizzlewolf - NOPE, all the assessors are not NB certified.
Alice - In my opinion, they should take the $2300 to speed up scores, so that there wouldn't be so many stressed people!
liz - you don't have to be certified to be an assessor
Swattie - Bummer...big big bummer
liz - Great idea, alice...i'm with you!
Swattie - Good point, Alice!
wizzlewolf - Jen, they always need assessors. If you have taught for a number of years and want to be an assessor, you will get picked.
stephaniems - we would just be stressed in JULY instead of november...lol
wizzlewolf - Liz, you have to be a certified teacher, but not NB certified to be an assessor.
liz - boy.....i would hate to see some of the people i work with assessing these entries!
liz - stepaniems....we would at least have a month to get over it
wizzlewolf - Liz, yes exactly! That is a scary thought huh?
stephaniems - treu true
Swattie - I'm logging off to change my color
liz - i meant to say you don't have to be NB certified...thanks wizzlewolf for clarifying this
jen - No I have a 2 year old and I'm spending enought time away from her now. I also spend a week scoring my state alternate assessment portfolios-they pay pretty good.
LynnS - too much purple for ya?
rob - nice color change swattie...
stephaniems - thats why i stay good ole black!
liz - very scary.....now i'm even more stressed, wizzlewolf...i hadn't thought of that angle yet.....what if some incompetent person scored some or all of my entires.....something else to worry about
Swattie - Yeah. I have a migrane.
wizzlewolf - Well, the NB assessor pay is OK, but it requires that you stay at a hotel for weeks and your whole pay goes to boarding. You end up with ZIP.
jen - They pay for our hotel
Swattie - You stay in a hotel while you do your assessing?
LynnS - liz--What 's done is done
Alice - Why can't stay at home?
Swattie - What about your family?
liz - right, lynn...i keep trying to tell myself just that....it doesn't help any
wizzlewolf - Well, I don't think an assessor would be incompetent. However, there is some subjectivity. NB denies this because they "train" everyone. However, any assessment has some subjectivity if it is narrative like NB.
Swattie - Oh, sorry, that was stupid.
LynnS - Hang in there Liz!
wizzlewolf - Swattie, the assessors have to meet in particular cities. If you don't have relatives, you have to stay somewhere.
Swattie - I would imagine that they are trained to look for cue words, much like the FCAT.
liz - thanks, lynn...it helps to voice my feelings to good people like you
wizzlewolf - Liz, relax and try to think about Thanksgiving or something. Believe me, the day the scores are released will come and go in a blink of an eye. All this tension will be gone soon.
stephaniems - i wish that the rubrics were more concise as to what they are looking for
wizzlewolf - Oh yeah, FCAT. Now that is a true measure of brilliance......NOT
jen - I hope you are here reminding me of that next year- wizzlewolf
Swattie - Stephaniems, I'm with you. I was really hoping to get something that "really" cleared things up when they sent the box.
Swattie - Wizzle, sure its a measure of something...LOL
Alice - I imagine that the scores take so long to come out becuase there are so many candidates and not enough assessors.
liz - i've tried, wizzlewolf...but i nearly devoted an entire year to this process....it's very difficult not to be anxious about it...but, you are right it will soon be over...one way or another....i just want the WAIT to be over
stephaniems - i can't even imaging the stress of the second or third timers?
wizzlewolf - I think it is a measure of how stupid some people are to think it is the be all and end all of a child's achievement.
Swattie - Liz, just think. Next year you'll be looking back on all of this and telling us to just be patient
stephaniems - and laughiing at us
Alice - I agree with you, Swattie
wizzlewolf - Liz, I understand completely. The last weeks of my wait, I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown.
jen - Hang in there Liz
liz - thanks, swattie....
LynnS - Swattie--what is the most confusing with the box right now for you?
liz - thanks to you, too, jen
Swattie - More to add to the stupidity...is that its a measure of how competent the teachers are.
wizzlewolf - Steph, Oh I can't either. I bet that is just terrible.
Swattie - Lynn, nothing really. I was just hoping for more.
wizzlewolf - Swattie, more what?
Swattie - NOT
liz - oh, i would never laugh at ANYONE who went through this process..steph....i could never IMAGINE doing that
stephaniems - i would like more direction on specifically WHAT and how much of what they want to see
stephaniems - kidding liz! lol
liz - wizzlewolf...it's comforting to know that what i am feeling is normal...
stephaniems - but i am convinced that NOONE knows and that is why NOONE sayd
Swattie - Thanks, Stephaniems. I was trying to come up with that.
LynnS - Stephaniems--I went exactly by what they suggested--3 pages for this, 2 pages for that...
Swattie - Hiay, rob
Swattie - I mean Hiya rob
stephaniems - really - i would like to see some good examples
rob - hi swat
stephaniems - nbpts sponsored examples
wizzlewolf - Liz, oh yes, very normal. If your weren't worried and anxious, I would wonder about you. You are in good company. There are hundreds of CIWs in the same boat with you.
liz - staying within the page limits is something that is really stressed
jen - How many accomp do you think we need? Everyone has a different ideas. I have 7 that take up 13 pgs.
stephaniems - i have 3 accomplishments that are VERY thorough
LynnS - Liz--If I am not certified, I pray that it's not because of "silly" error like page margin!
wizzlewolf - Jen, it is not the quantity, it is the quality.
Swattie - I've been trying to follow the directions, exactly. Like the number of pages. I even typed out the questions as an outline and filled in the answers.
Alice - Nice meeting you guys, I have learned a great deal within this past hour. Good luck and best wishes!
jen - Thanks
Swattie - In the accomplishements, I had a hard time picking which ones were valid.
liz - I had 8 accomp. i don't think there is a specific number they are looking for...i think it is the quality...not the quanity
stephaniems - thanks alice - good luck with your ms
wizzlewolf - Lynn, the sad part is they don't tell you anything about WHY you scored. They don't give you any feedback at all.
stephaniems - that is WRONG!
LynnS - Of course quality is more important that quantity, BUT I felt it wass important to show a good variety.
stephaniems - they should send back marked up entries for you to see!
jen - So you have no idea what you need to improve on?
liz - i don't think incorrect page margins could lower your score...do you, wizzlewolf?
Swattie - Aren't they teachers?
Swattie - Lynn, that's what I thought. I really condensed what I had.
liz - yes, variety is important, too...
LynnS - Liz--my margins are correctThat was an example
jen - I heard they have a template and they lay it over the pages and if you type doesn't fit within the template they don't score it.
wizzlewolf - Jen, nope. If you don't certify, you have to speculate as to how to improve.
Swattie - Jen...OH BROTHER!
stephaniems - so much for guided learning
LynnS - I had 10 (I think) accomplishments in Entry 4--but hey--I'm still CIW
liz - condensed...after the write-ups, i feel like an expert at condensing!
liz - oh, sorry, lynn
jen - Have you heard that- wizzlewolf?
stenz - You mean you don't know which ones you need to do over
LynnS - Liz-that's okay, no apology needed
wizzlewolf - Liz, NB is strict about their rules and regulations, but I can't believe you wouldn't certify because of wrong margins.
liz - really., jen? how awful to not score an entry because of margins!
wizzlewolf - Jen, knowing NB that wouldn't surprise me. They tend to be "anal". However, they may take off something but not trash the whole entry.
stenz - What about the content- isn't that silly over margins
Swattie - I guess we'll have to make sure to use exactly the template they suggest. Its easy enough to set it up.
liz - hello, stenz...seems silly to me
wizzlewolf - Stenz, no. If you have to become a banker, YOU decide what to do over.
stenz - I'm glad someone else agrees
stephaniems - but you do get to know all of the subscores
stenz - How do you know which one needs to be improved
Swattie - What if you do over something that you did right to begin with?
wizzlewolf - Stenz, sometimes NB can be silly. We just have to live with it. They do a lot of good things too. I guess it is a balance.
LynnS - each entry is assigned a point value..
liz - wizzlewolf...i heard that they add 12 points to your score for norming purposes...is this true?
LynnS - need 275 to be certified
stenz - It is true that and AC is scored lower than the portfolio?
wizzlewolf - Steph, yes. When you get your score report, it will give you the score of each entry and the final score.
LynnS - Yes, they do add 12 points
Swattie - Oh. I remember seeing that somewhere, Lynn
liz - great! I may need those 12 points!
LynnS - the AC counts a lot more thatn I thought it should--
stenz - I was not able to finish one of the questions and I'm scared that will do me in!!)
wizzlewolf - Yes. They add 12 points for standard of error.
liz - 3 of the portfolio entries have a weight of 16, one has 12 and all the AC exercises have a weight of 6.67, i think
stephaniems - i am gonna run - nice talking to y'all
Swattie - Wizzle, do they break down the points for each assessment, or am I not remembering what I've seen again.
LynnS - After I left the AC, I thought I bombed--but then remember, everyone had the same time limits--
wizzlewolf - stenz, you can actually certify even though you trash an entry as long as you did very well on the others.
Swattie - Not each assessment, but each part of the portfolio.
stenz - I was so anxious during the AC that I freaked when there was more than 3 screens in one of the questions. I had 5 seconds to answer ARGHHHHH
wizzlewolf - Swattie, they do tell you what you scored on each entry.
liz - the AC exercises were the hardest for me....30 minutes is just not enough time to get your thoughts together...express yourself well...most of these things take time, collaboration with others.. AC was extremely stressful
liz - i had a panic attack when the first scenario popped up on the screen...couldn't breathe....felt faint...it was terrible
wizzlewolf - Liz, I really feel for you about the 30 minute thing. I would have big problems with that. We had 4 entries to do at the assessment center each lasting 1.5 hours. That was better for me.
stenz - I remember wanting to cry, but I sucked it up and began again- but I truely believe that I didn't recover.
liz - that's what's got me worried, wizzlewolf....i don't feel very good about several of the AC exercises
Swattie - I read that our assessment is not going to be computerized, and that we have to compose something in one of the assessments. In 30 minutes.
stenz - I had a very good mentor - and hopefully my portfolio will carry me through.
wizzlewolf - Well, this is another issue that will come up in the next few weeks. I will guarantee that you will be surprised at your scores, good or bad. You may have ideas of what you did well on and the scores may be the opposite.
wizzlewolf - Swattie, are you in Music?
Swattie - I'm a really fast typer, but hand writing is not my forte. Hand writing a composition is definately not my forte.
Swattie - Wizzle...yep.
liz - you are given a scenario in each of the AC exercises....however, you have to read the scenario and answer 3-4 questions .....all in 30 minutes
stenz - Did any of you think about what you could have added or that you left something out or Why did I discuss that???
naneb - boy does this bring back memories!!
wizzlewolf - Yes, I am on the music listserv. Handwriting the assessment center exercises is a REAL DRAG!!
naneb - I thought the AC was terrible but they were some of my highest scores
stenz - Naneb did you already certify?
aim - Wizzle, why is it that the scores seem opposite of what you might think they may be?
wizzlewolf - Yes Nan, doesn't it! (Aren't you glad you don't have to feel that way right now?)
Swattie - I have been practicing writing...ha ha that sounds funny
naneb - yes, stenz last year
naneb - Yes!! I do not want that much stress again!!
stenz - congratulations and to wizzlewolf (sounds like something from H Potter)
liz - i had those very same thoughts....stenz....second guessing myself, i guess...but i'm not a "spur of the moment " person....not a quick thinker...i have to have time to reflect upon the situation and organize my thoughts...more than 30 minutes
LynnS - Swattie doesn't sound funny to me! Do whatever makes you feel more confident
Swattie - I wonder if they actually have to be able to read what you have written?!?
naneb - thanks!! it is a great experience when you certify
naneb - life changing
Swattie - Lynn, thanks...I'm not Beethoven...I can't hear the music as I write. I have to see it first!
LynnS - Take care!
liz - i heard that you will no longer be able to handwrite the responses....no choice...you have to do it on computer this year...is this right, wizzlewolf?
jen - Good Luck CIW!!! I've got to run-
stenz - I had a dream that the tiny icon lit up and my husband told me to look at the congratulations. Could this mean something???!!!
aim - Nan, how has becoming an NBCT changed your life?
liz - thanks, jen...good luck to you, too
naneb - more respect and responsibility from administration
stenz - Yes Nan and Wizzle has it changed your life?
aim - Oh, great!
wizzlewolf - aim, your guess is as good as mine. I really don't know why that happens. All I know is that we perceive ourselves differently than the way others do.
naneb - I am seen as more of a leader and i feel like i have a lot more influence at my school and in my district
Swattie - I was hoping for more job stability. The strings teacher is always the first to go in a money crisis.
stenz - I really do feel going thru the process has changed the way I teach
liz - after successfully completing this process...you deserve all of that and more, naneb!
aim - Oh, yes, I did look back at last year's NBCT's reactions to their scores and many thought they were opposite and I always wondered why?
wizzlewolf - stenz, OH YES!!! I think it changed every part of my life. I teach more thoroughly, I feel proud to be a NB teacher, and the Florida bonus money has allowed me to afford to buy groceries!
Swattie - Strenz, it has already changed some of what I do, but I really haven't finished it yet.
naneb - that is definetly true stenz, I am much more reflective and more result oriented then I was before
naneb - thanks liz
stenz - Did you pass the first time Nan and Wizzle
naneb - yes! first time
wizzlewolf - yes
stenz - OHHHHHHHH - Wow how did that feel!!!
naneb - I was the first at my school
liz - wonderful, naneb.....great accomplishment!...you, too, wizzlewolf!
stenz - There are only 2 of us that went thru the process in our 11 school district
Lela - Hi! I'm Lela. I'm just beginning this process. I am working on entry 4. I'm scared that my accomplishments aren't noteworthy. I certainly can't fill up 12 pages. Must your accomplishments be " earth shattering" to be counted as good?
Swattie - (bowing to the masters) I gotta go put my son in bed....you all take care. Don't stay up too late worrying!
wizzlewolf - However, I am still shocked about that. This is especially true now that I have learned so much more about NB and the process in hindsight. I think it is a miracle I passed.
naneb - it was totally indescribable!! hitting that button and seeing Congratulations!! My husband and I were both jumping up and down and screaming!
aim - Nan, did your school know much about NB before you got certified?
wizzlewolf - Nan, I am still the only art NB in my county. Hopefully, the next few weeks will change that.
liz - even if i don't certify...i feel that this process has helped me be a better teacher....i, too, teach more thorougly and am much more reflective about what i teach and how i teach it..it was great pd
naneb - wizzle, I know when I got my score I was shocked, my lowest scores were entries I really liked and the AC scores were so high and I hated that experience
wizzlewolf - Liz, GREAT attitude!!
stenz - Don't ever think your accomplishments are not noteworthy - every little thing counts, Lela
liz - thanks, swattie...good luck!
naneb - I am from Mississippi and there is a big NB push in this state, lots of mentor programs so, yes there is a lot of knowledge but my school has a lot of young teachers and then a bunch ready to retire
liz - straight from the heart, wizzlewolf!
aim - Oh, if I certify, then I will be the first in my school district.
wizzlewolf - Good for you Aim!
naneb - wizzle, I have to say without your help and support I don't know if I could have done it, this group and the Yahoo group were great
aim - I wonder if anyone will notice if I do get certified.
stenz - Yes- I must admit the yahoo group helped me even though I began with the group after sending in all my stuff. They've been great mental support
liz - i second what naneb wrote....thanks to people like you, wizzlewolf...i feel so much better now than when i fist logged on .....it helps to talk to others...puts things into perspective, somewhat
wizzlewolf - Oh Nan, I am sure you would of done very well regardless. That is why I hang around though. I am a great cheerleader and old stump to lean on.
aim - or understand what I achieved if I pass.
liz - time to go.....thanks to everyone concerning NB......say a prayer for me!
naneb - it was a very rigorous process and I think it should continue to be that way, it shoud be difficult but attainable
wizzlewolf - AIM, you are going to have to TOOT YOUR OWN HORN. Nobody at my school cared at all. They didn't even announce it at a meeting or anything.
wizzlewolf - Nan, I totally agree.
wizzlewolf - Bye Liz, GREAT GOOD LUCK!
aim - Yes, I understand Wizzle.
liz - that's horrible, wizzlewolf...people who haven't been through this process just have NO clue !
jodi - I feel like a lot of you as I wait for my scores. Lots of luck to us all!
Lela - Wizzlewolf, did your local school board recognize your accomplishment?
liz - GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!
wizzlewolf - Yes, they did have a school board announcement. However, back in 1998 when we started, hardly anyone knew about NB. It was very different back then.
jodi - What kind of indicators will we recieve letting us know that the time to announce the scores is near?
Erin - Judy your lesson on leads sounded great. I have filed it away for when I am ready...or shall I say my class is ready.
liz - i was wondering the same thing, jodi.....no one seems to know
wizzlewolf - Jodi, the NB website is the key. Make that your homepage for a few weeks.
wizzlewolf - ONLY listen to NB. Nobody else knows when the scores will be released.
jodi - I've done that at home and at school. Thanks
wizzlewolf - gotta go, see ya'll later. Great Good Luck to all the CIWs. I have my fingers crossed for all of you!! Bye NAN!
naneb - Bye wizzle
jodi - bye wizzlewolf thanks for all of your advice this past year!
