meeha/ece/tx - Hi there! How is everyone doing this evening?
meeha/ece/tx - Hi mdld, kteach, amy, sleepless ... welcome to tonite's early childhood teachers' meeting!
kteach - HI! I'm new to this, do we just throw a question/topic out there?
meeha/ece/tx - Mdld ... welcome to teachers.net ... the friendliest site on the web! let us know if you have any questions! ... you, too, kteach!
meeha/ece/tx - Tonite looks like an "open forum", so you can just throw a topic out, kteach!
ChickaBoomBoom - I am wondering how you change a student's pencil grip!
LisaL - I would like to know what people's feelings are on writing names in Kind. When do you expect first and last? What about the handwriting?
mdld - I love teachers.net, it has helped me a lot!!
ChickaBoomBoom - I have several Kinders who are overlapping their index finger with their thumbs?
meeha/ece/tx - Chicka, what I do with my preschool-aged kiddos ... and train kinder teachers to do (based on OT recommendation) ...
mdld - chicka, do you have penicl grips? that might help
meeha/ece/tx - is give the children VERY SHORT pencils, crayons, marking tools
ChickaBoomBoom - I do have pencil grips...but the kids keep losing them..and they're expensive...
meeha/ece/tx - If you give them something small and flat to hold with the 4th and 5th fingers it is pretty hard to hold the pencil wrong, too.
LisaL - Maybe you could have special pencils with grips that the kids borrow and give back to you for each activity.
ChickaBoomBoom - meeha- like a tongue depressor?
meeha/ece/tx - Chicka ... on inexpensive grip I use is foam rubber hair curlers (I can buy a dozen at the dollar store!) They stretch out over time, but work well for awhile.
ChickaBoomBoom - good idea, Lisa.. I may have to resort to that
mdld - what age does everyone teach?
meeha/ece/tx - Chicka -- probably more like a quarter or a washer
Paulie - What are you planning for Thanksgiving?
Paulie - I have the best book called A Turkey for Thanksgiving
Paulie - anyway in the book everyone thinks the turley is for dinner but he is a guest
meeha/ece/tx - I have a book (I hope!) entitled SOMETIMES IT'S TURKEY, SOMETIMES IT'S FEATHERS ... by Lorna Balian (riotously funny!)
Just Me/Mi - I've got that book too, Paulie. It's fun to read to the class.
Paulie - One of my very favorites
meeha/ece/tx - A Turkey or Sometimes, Just Me
Just Me/Mi - What's yours about Meeha?
meeha/ece/tx - Paulie -- you'll probably need to check it out at the library ... i think it is out of print now.
meeha/ece/tx - A little lady goes for a walk and finds a turkey egg ... she raises it so carefully ... always thinking about the meal it will provide ... in the end the turkey joins her and her cat for a thanksgiving feast of veges galore!
Just Me/Mi - Sounds like a good one, Meeha
Paulie - That book sounds liek a riot but I like a Turkey for Thanksgiving better especially if u read it with expression of fear
meeha/ece/tx - Just Me ... I don't own the book ... but am able to tell it using felt board pics ... and the kiddos really enjoy it!
meeha/ece/tx - Paulie, you're in California, right?
Paulie - for over a yer in WA state
Just Me/Mi - I've got to get through apples, pumpkins, and Halloween before I think about Thanksgiving. I may need an extra week or two in October! lol
meeha/ece/tx - Hi Connie! Are you a teacher? Do you work with young children?
meeha/ece/tx - Just Me -- just incorporate Halloween into the pumpkins and apples!
Paulie - but don't u plan ahead?
Connie - I am a first year kindergarten teacher. How about you
meeha/ece/tx - Connie, I work with special needs preschoolers, in a public school near Dallas.
Paulie - finish apples and do pumpkins with thanksgiving!
Paulie - <---- still looking for a job after moving
meeha/ece/tx - I'm using my themes to blend with the seasons this year ... it has really made it easier to plan!
frog - I am a special edcation teacher in Indiana
meeha/ece/tx - Becky and Connie -- we (try to) meet here every Tuesday evening and talk about early childhood issues, ideas, and support!
Paulie - what do you mean blend?
meeha/ece/tx - Hi frog! welcome to tonite's early childhood teachers' meeting!
Connie - I've been here before. Not as often as I would like though.
frog - don't have any preschoolers, but I have 2 kindergartners.
meeha/ece/tx - That means ... one theme kind of leads into the next ... and that the themes have been pretty much placed to "fit" into the seasons ... now we're doing "families" ... on the heels of farm, which followed "around the house", etc.
meeha/ece/tx - frog, we're glad you're here!
Just Me/Mi - It all blends together. Every year I say I'm going to drop a few activities but I never do. We do a lot of science and math with the apples and pumpkins. Life cycles, patterns, graphing. Then we write a book about all we have done.
meeha/ece/tx - Everything just kind of seems to work together, one thing leads to another and then another ...
Paulie - understand Just me I did that too
Connie - meecha/ece/tx How long do your themes last on average?
meeha/ece/tx - Connie, most of the themes we've planned for this year are two weeks in length. One is one week, one is three, another is five weeks.
Paulie - I would think themes could last from short to long time I would say as long as there is stuff to do/teach continue
frog - Sorry everyone- I need to talk about special ed issues and the law- any chat sites that you know of?
meeha/ece/tx - The flip side of the time planned for the themes is that if the kiddos don't "take to" the theme in the first day or two, we'll pick another theme! (We have no problem pinch-hitting in my room!)
meeha/ece/tx - frog -- what is your question? I may be able to help!
Connie - I just feel like I never have enough time to do everything I would like to do. Is that typical?
meeha/ece/tx - Connie ... absolutely!
Paulie - There is a scheduled sped chat but I dont know what nite it meets but u can find the list if you click on meetings at the teachers net site
Connie - Oh good, It's not just me.
meeha/ece/tx - frog, another option might be to go to the "chatboard" page and select Special Education and post questions there.
Becky - this is a neat site....i am a ppcd aide, former prek teacher
Paulie - so what is new with everyone else?
meeha/ece/tx - Becky -- there are LOTS of great resources here at Teachers.net! I learn a LOT here!
meeha/ece/tx - Tomorrow is picture day for us!
meeha/ece/tx - Connie ... you have kinders -- full day or half-day?
Connie - tomorrow we have grandparent's day.
Connie - My kinders are half days
Paulie - what are u doing for it Connie
meeha/ece/tx - I have 5 morning students, 5 afternoon students, and 5 full-day students. It is tough to get everything done with the full-day kiddos ... half-day kiddos really have to be regimented to get through everything!
Paulie - d grandparents day the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving because the sept holiday for them is way too early
meeha/ece/tx - half-days for kinder are really tough, especially with the increased expectations placed on students and teachers today!
Connie - Well, not as much as I wanted. They come in for the last 30 mins of the day. I made cookies, lemonade, play some games, etc.
meeha/ece/tx - You have a couple of songs planned ... maybe a "special" snack?
Connie - Half day is so tough. I feel like all we do as push from activity to activity. We don't even always find time to just play every day.
meeha/ece/tx - Have the kiddos made cards for their grandparents? (Get a couple of "volunteers" to come in -- like principal, librarian, ??? -- for kiddos who don't have grandparent who can come.)
Paulie - we usually did a farm play and sang some songs sometimes I gave some awards because grandparents usually don't get to come for awards
Paulie - I always had substitute grandparents for the kids whose relatives lived far away and we had a tea
meeha/ece/tx - Do you imbed multiple activities into different times of day? LIKE: use calendar to teach numeral recognition, 1:1 concept, patterns, graphing, etc ...?
Connie - I wanted to do some of that, but half the reg staff is gone for a workshop and the rest are picking up the slack around the building. This is my first grandparents day. Everytime time I finish something, I think to myself, that next year I'll be more prepared for all those things it didn't occur to me to even consider.
meeha/ece/tx - did we freeze up again?
Paulie - I make sure when the K kids arrived they ahd time for free play and then 15 min at recess when we had juice break
Paulie - I went to a chamber of commerce mtg and invited people from the community to come and adopt a child for the day when I taught in parochial school, church members came to be a kid's grandparent for the event
meeha/ece/tx - Well, Connie ... the kids sing a handful of songs that are "old favorites" already, right?
Connie - I do as much integrated activites as I can. I have my kids for 2 hours and 45 mins. By the time we do calendar, snack, reading groups, and go to our specials we are almost our of time.
meeha/ece/tx - Use one or two of those songs! Cards the kiddos can make at "work time" tomorrow. You copy off the poem to glue inside the cards.
meeha/ece/tx - how often do they go to specials?
meeha/ece/tx - how long are they gone?
Paulie - I did not write just ate some of my letters disappeared and I don't know what i said
Connie - Tuesday-Thursday for now. After Christmas, we add computers once a week.
Paulie - no math?
meeha/ece/tx - Paulie ... that happens to me when something new comes in on my 'puter!
Connie - Specials are for 30 minutes.
meeha/ece/tx - 30 minutes plus what, 5 - 10 minutes each way?
Paulie - just so u know that I did say something intelligible
meeha/ece/tx - and restroom breaks
meeha/ece/tx - LOL, Paulie!
meeha/ece/tx - When you add computers, address core curriculum area there!
Connie - Paulie I do math and shared reading, or shared writing, activites that go with the themes, writing, etc.
meeha/ece/tx - Find out what the specials teachers are addressing (language? math?) and address different areas in the classroom.
meeha/ece/tx - I didn'
meeha/ece/tx - see Becky leave!
Connie - That would be great if we had some decent computer programs. New computers, limited software. I haven't even thought about what to do in computers yet.
meeha/ece/tx - See there, Paulie ... it isn't just you it happens to!
Just Me/Mi - I'm back! - Hi Kate
Paulie - at least it made it to two lines . . . part of my messages get lost
meeha/ece/tx - I'm fortunate -- I have three computers in my classroom ... we don't have to go to do that activity!
Paulie - wb Just me
meeha/ece/tx - w/b Just Me!
Paulie - Connie are your computers on the internet?
meeha/ece/tx - How's life (& the weather) in MI?
Just Me/Mi - Life is good - Weather is getting a little colder but it has been warmer than usual
Connie - I have one computer in my room that doesn't work more than it does. Yeah, the computers are online, but each child has to have a password before they can go online. That means either I type in 24 names and passowords, or...
Just Me/Mi - The trees are just starting to turn colors finally
Paulie - if they are on th internet a wonderful math site is great for interactive stuff: http:www.mathcats.com hoep the link works If not jsut put in mathcats.com
Paulie - ours are all beautiful colrs already
Connie - THanks Paulie, I'll look into it.
meeha/ece/tx - get the tech person to do a single pass for you ... you should be able to put all kiddos online via the server computer in the lab! (Of course, they'll say they can't!)
meeha/ece/tx - I think http://www.coolmath4kids.com is a good site, too!
meeha/ece/tx - Texas doesn't really see color change.
Connie - It is some new district wide policy. They are being very insistent about it.
Paulie - o I forgot the //
meeha/ece/tx - I DO miss the "seasons" here!
Paulie - the link worked finally
Connie - Thanks meeha.
Paulie - o darn it didn;t even appear
meeha/ece/tx - http://www.mathcats.com
Connie - It is beautiful here in SD. Leaves changing falling, etc. I loved teaching fall. It was fun with leaves and nature.
Paulie - http://www.mathcats.com
Paulie - finally!
Just Me/Mi - Because we had so little rain this summer we have been told that the colors won't be as bright as some years. I look forward to the seasonal changes.
Paulie - I typed that but it disappeared
meeha/ece/tx - Connie -- my kiddos enjoy our "autumn" song ... It is autumn (x2) Leaves fall down (x2) Halloween is coming (x2) Autumn's here (x2) ... tune ... ARE YOU SLEEPING
Connie - We did Leaves are changing (kids repeat each verse) All around, Red, yellow and orange, Some are brown. Leaves are falling To the ground Twirling and whirling, down, down, down. Same tune
Paulie - we did not have much rain in fact set records for time between rainfalls BUT the leaves are gorgeous ehre
meeha/ece/tx - After Halloween I change it to Thanksgiving is coming.
Paulie - t net is having trouble again it took a long time to send that
Paulie - I love using that song too meeha
meeha/ece/tx - That is nice, too, Connie!
Paulie - nice one Connie
meeha/ece/tx - Another song we use is: Autumn leaves are falling down, falling down, falling down, Autumn leaves are falling down, Red, yellow, orange and brown! (Tune: LONDON BRIDGE)
Paulie - yup me too!
Connie - cute meeha
Just Me/Mi - Same tune for Thanksgiving - Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey, Run away, run away. If you are not careful, you will be a mouthful. Thanksgiving day, Thanksgiving day.
meeha/ece/tx - I give the kiddos die-cut leaves and we let them fall as we name the colors
Paulie - lol
meeha/ece/tx - I like that, Just Me!
Just Me/Mi - Tune - Are you Sleeping not London Bridges
Connie - I'm starting preparing my Nursery Rhyme unit for November. Any favorite ideas
meeha/ece/tx - Connie -- one thing I've done this year (more-so than previous) is to incorporate a nursery rhyme or two into EACH unit through the year this year!
Connie - I really wanted to do Nursery Rhymes at that beginning for the year, but didn't get to it
meeha/ece/tx - elle, we're just kind of going where the conversation leads. We've talked a bit about fall theme/activities ... now we're going to brain storm nursery rhyme ideas!
meeha/ece/tx - Connie ... are you seeking ideas to do with N.rhymes ... or specific rhymes?
elle - I love nursery rhymes, I know a teacher that ends her unit with the children acting out a rhyme, it is really cute
elle - I used to do one a week, but that was a couple of years ago, need to do it again
meeha/ece/tx - I like the "expanded" Hickory Dickory Dock --- where the clock strikes different numbers and children supply different rhyming words for the numbers!
Connie - I like that meeha
elle - you can buy those pocket chart sets with the poster and the rhymes
meeha/ece/tx - You can make a rectangle base and a circle face for a "grandfather's clock" ... and attach a small mouse (probably on a string) to let the mouse run up and down.
elle - the kids match the words up and then read the chart
Connie - Meeha, sounds like I need to make it into a pocket chart acivity
meeha/ece/tx - Itsy Bitsy Spider has a good book out ... he goes up several different locations -- cute!
Connie - Does that itsy bitsy spider book have a cat on the cover?
elle - I would make copies of the rhyme we were doing for the kids to take home
Just Me/Mi - We just did Jack be Nimble as part of Fire Prevention Week.
elle - that is a good idea, just me
meeha/ece/tx - Connie ... pocket chart is one place ... if you let each child make a clock -- you get: number/numeral concept, shape recognition, ordinal (first, second, third); you get fine motor: cutting, printing, gluing ...
meeha/ece/tx - yes, I think orange, kind of striped ... blue background
Connie - Yeah, I have a little book to make with some rhymes in it. I send copies of my letter chants home with the kids, too. They seem to llike them.
meeha/ece/tx - language ... rhyming, nonsense words are as okay as real words as long as they rhyme!
Connie - Yeah, I have that itsy bitsy spider book. It is a good one.
elle - they love taking things home that they can read
meeha/ece/tx - For Jack Be Nimble I bought a little brass candlestick holder and a short candle and had each child jump over the candlestick ... substituting the child's name. (Same candlestick can be used to act out "Wee Willie WInkie")
meeha/ece/tx - PAULIE???
Connie - hi birdie
meeha/ece/tx - 'evening, birdie. welcome to tonite's early childhood teachers' meeting!
birdie - Hi has anyone here does a unit on immigration?
elle - brb
meeha/ece/tx - birdie, not yet ... what age are your kiddos?
Connie - nope sorry birdie
Just Me/Mi - hi birdie!
birdie - 3rd grade
meeha/ece/tx - birdie ... are you wanting to explore the Pilgrims as immigrants, or more recent?
meeha/ece/tx - W/B, Paulie!
Just Me/Mi - Maybe we should do "Where is Paulie?" instead of "Where is Thumbkin?" in our nursery rhymes
It's Paulie - I could not send so I left I jsut came back to say I am not coming to these chats anymore It is too frustrating to have a decent chat here anymore
meeha/ece/tx - birdie ... there is a wonderful book about an Asian boy immigrating to the US many years ago ... I think it is written from the grandson's point of view -- sorry I can't recall the name right now.
Just Me/Mi - Welcome back, Paulie
meeha/ece/tx - LOL, Just Me!
meeha/ece/tx - Paulie ... it will get better ... we need you!
It's Paulie - I am leaving again don't think I will visit any more Tuesdays
meeha/ece/tx - look -- you're sending perfectly now!
elle - back
meeha/ece/tx - birdie? any ideas what you're looking for? what kinds of ideas can we help you with?
It's Paulie - oh well It ws a nice place to meet each week and toss aroudn ideas but it is too frustrating Thanks for everything -- meet you on the boards. Bye!
meeha/ece/tx - Okay, Connie ... nursery rhymes ...
Connie - well, all thanks so much for your support. I better say good night. Hope to talk to you all later again.
meeha/ece/tx - What kind of start has your week had, milymo?
milymo/oh - It's been good. I had a move out today.
meeha/ece/tx - move out? move out of where???!!!
Just Me/Mi - hi milymo from Ohio (we were rhyming tonight)
milymo/oh - I wish she could have stayed with me for the year, but she was in a bad living situation.
meeha/ece/tx - oh, a move out ... a student who moved?
meeha/ece/tx - I thought you'd had to move out of your room ... or your home ... a student moving is (kind of) better!
milymo/oh - Yes. Her sis was in my pm class as well, so actually I lost two.
meeha/ece/tx - Well, right now I'm (happily) "at capacity" ... meaning my classes are at what the district considers "ideal numbers" for good teaching w/ith my special population. Until all other classes fill up I don't have to worry about new kiddos coming my way!
Just Me/Mi - I had one that stayed 2 days - just long enough to get him on a class list. I got a new one yesterday.
milymo/oh - I have three less than the other k right now. I have 14 in the am and 8 in the pm (extended day).
meeha/ece/tx - Just Me -- that can be really frustrating!
milymo/oh - Ugh! How frustrating!
Just Me/Mi - I have 26 AM, 18 PM. The other PM teacher has 21
meeha/ece/tx - mily -- I have 15 total IEPs now ... 5 morning, 5 afternoon, 5 full-day ... ages 3 - 6 years of age ... largest class = 10 (AND I have 3 aides) ... but I bet you probably wouldn't want to trade!
milymo/oh - Probably not! Just keeping up with the IEPs would be a task in itself!!!
meeha/ece/tx - Trust me, it is!!!
Just Me/Mi - I'll keep what I have - just hope I don't get any more!
milymo/oh - I have one who is reading already, but he is all over the place when it comes to attention span. Often he talks about bad dreams and when he answers questions his answers are totally unrelated to the question. Ever have anyone like that? Ideas needed, if so!
meeha/ece/tx - I wouldn't trade my kiddos for anything! I love the group I get to work with every day!
milymo/oh - I have an interesting bunch. I'll keep them, because I know I'll see so much progress by the end of the year!
meeha/ece/tx - mily, do you have a counselor or a school psychologist you can ask for help? I'd be documenting responses, behavior, etc. ... and asking for help
milymo/oh - We are having an IAT meeting on Friday to discuss everything.
meeha/ece/tx - are you documenting? (Keeping samples of chatter and responses?
milymo/oh - I feel that he has a lot to offer, if there is a way to get to him. He seems to be in his own world at times. It's hard to distinguish between what he can control and what he can't.
meeha/ece/tx - you may want to look at PDD/NOS ... Aspergers' syndrome ...
milymo/oh - I have a work sample or two. I've started to do some written documentation too.
meeha/ece/tx - address labels (on a roll or a sheet on a clipboard) make an easy recording spot ... you just date/time and make entry -- at end of day add to page with documentation
milymo/oh - I was thinking towards that meeha. From what I understand, autistic children do not like close contact... is that true of aspergers' as well?
meeha/ece/tx - aspergers' kind of falls into the same realm as autism ... they just have higher language function -- plug the term into google and you'll get MILES of reading!
milymo/oh - I've worked with one child in summer school with aspergers' but it was so long ago that I do not recall.
meeha/ece/tx - but ... WHY does he have bad dreams???
milymo/oh - He does not mind close contact. It is one way to "get through" at times.
milymo/oh - Scary movies - we need to talk to mom about that.
sue - meeha- what's the difference between aspergers and autism-- don't they present very similar symptoms?
meeha/ece/tx - Hi sue! how are you this evening? welcome to tonite's early childhood teachers' meeting!
milymo/oh - We means the other k teacher and myself. She has him in the am and I have him in the pm.
sue - hi meeha- haven't seen you in awhile
meeha/ece/tx - sue, often in the past aspergers was described as "high functioning autism" ... kiddos with aspergers' tend to have higher verbal functioning that kiddos with autism, more social behavior ... although not necessarily "truly social behavior"
sue - that's what I thought
sue - I'm just struggling with our new speced guidelines. we no longer have preschool speced
sue - except for autistic and phydis
meeha/ece/tx - you can see tactile defensiveness in either ... both have different means of learning, processing, and interacting with the world.
meeha/ece/tx - where are you located, sue?
meeha/ece/tx - seems to me you're somewhere here in tx!
sue - new orleans
meeha/ece/tx - okay, close, but not in tx!
sue - actually a suburb of new orleans
meeha/ece/tx - now i remember!
sue - hi milymo- didn't mean to appear rude!
milymo/oh - Aspergers symptoms - http://psychcentral.com/disorders/sx68.htm - found a tenth of a mile in the miles of info!
meeha/ece/tx - Now we've lost Just Me! I didn't see her leave!
sue - thanks milymo
milymo/oh - Hi sue!
meeha/ece/tx - if you find the TEACCH website you'll find some wonderful info, too!
sue - for some reason all the speced kids flock to me and I'm not a speced teacher LOL!
meeha/ece/tx - Tony Atwood (Aspergers guru) has a couple of really great books out, as well.
sue - I'll check them out within the next few weeks.
sue - gotta run- thanks for chatting
meeha/ece/tx - sue ... I'm finding that "my reputation precedes me" lately ... parents come in expecting miracles ... I don't see it, but they do! LOL
meeha/ece/tx - milymo ... what kinds of ideas do you need for working with this child?
milymo/oh - Here's another - http://www.asperger.org.uk/thesyndrome/symptoms.asp -
Just Me/Mi - I'm still here - I just keep getting called away with phone calls tonight
meeha/ece/tx - what I"m finding more helpful for my kiddos is to focus on the abberrant (sp?) behaviors and help them learn to perform more closely to the behaviors needed for school success.
meeha/ece/tx - Do you use a picture schedule in your classroom, mily?
milymo/oh - How much should I expect from him? As much as others? His attention span is close to nothing except if he is interested in it personally.
meeha/ece/tx - kind of late for phone calls, Just Me!
milymo/oh - Personally AND on his own terms!
meeha/ece/tx - I tell people that "I expect the sun, and hopefully we'll reach the moon!" with my kiddos. Don't lessen your expectations, just change the way you address him.
milymo/oh - No - no picture schedule - yet
meeha/ece/tx - You might want to do the following (data keeping) for the next couple of days ...
meeha/ece/tx - (LOTS OF WORK FOR YOU, but then you'll have data when the IAT meets on Friday!)
Just Me/Mi - my college sons
milymo/oh - Since it's an extended day program, they have a rest time - often he does not wake up from that.
meeha/ece/tx - make you a spreadsheet and block it into 15 minute slots for the time he's in the room. make tick marks each time he makes an inappropriate remark, zones out, answers questions in unrelated manners ...
meeha/ece/tx - That makes sense, Just Me!
Just Me/Mi - I'm going to have to go for tonight. Hope to talk to you both again soon.
meeha/ece/tx - You could start out using tape on your wrist -- divided into 2 0r 3 sections and mark the tics there, transfer later in day. I'd just data-track maybe 10 minutes out of an hour.
milymo/oh - Bye Just Me!
meeha/ece/tx - 'nite, Just me -- take care!
meeha/ece/tx - Does that make sense? Sound workable in your situation?
milymo/oh - The one day, he sat and just didn't do his work. He talked to himself though. He seems to like things to be perfect.
meeha/ece/tx - Picture schedules can make a world of difference for kiddos with disabilites in the PDD area.
meeha/ece/tx - They need to know what to expect, when, etc.
milymo/oh - It soes sound workable - if he stays awake.
meeha/ece/tx - well, you have him in the a.m., as well, right?
milymo/oh - Thank you for your suggestions.
meeha/ece/tx - If he's sleeping all afternoon, just make sure it is documented! If he's sleeping he most likely needs it!
milymo/oh - Another teacher has him in the am. In fact, she is doing some video taping as well.
milymo/oh - Yes, that's why I don't wake him up.
meeha/ece/tx - that is helpful ... so long as other kiddos aren't in the video!
meeha/ece/tx - I have a couple of kiddos who can sleep as long as 2.5 hours in my full-day program!
milymo/oh - Hmmm... didn't think about that - I already got permission to video tape all my kiddos for my masters class.
milymo/oh - That's about how long he sleeps.
meeha/ece/tx - when you're using video footage to demonstrate concern to a parent, I've been told to be sure no other kiddos are in the footage. Other children's behavior can come back to "bite you" at times!
meeha/ece/tx - I don't understand all the in's and out's of it all!
milymo/oh - It can be so complicated!
meeha/ece/tx - Well, as much as I hate to do this, I need to excuse myself and head to bed.
meeha/ece/tx - It can be ... and sometimes is!
milymo/oh - I think she wanted to tape the other kids with him, so his mom could see what a "normal" kindergartner does.
milymo/oh - Well, I better get going as well. I have to take out the trash and I still have to do some masters work tonight!
meeha/ece/tx - rest well, good seeing you again!
milymo/oh - Thanks! I got your pm.
milymo/oh - Good night!
meeha/ece/tx - ok ... 'nite.
