Kelly M - Wow...you do that every summer, don't you? Kelly M - Hey Tracy - how'd you get the computer at this time of day? Susan (NC) - I had better get all my "relaxing" done quick - - - my 1st day back at school is August 2, do you believe it? tracyOK - I have a spot of unexpected computer time today...I'm home alone. Susan (NC) - I just read the EC GEN bankers post that the science has just been scored.........I'm holding my breath! Kelly M - Susan - Wow - that's fast! Of course we weren't out until the middle of June...but we don't go back until later in August! Tracy - glad to see you! Jan - are you still here? tracyOK - August 2...that's early! Our start of school may be delayed because of toxic black mold in our building! Patrice in KY - Hi Ladies! Kelly M - Hi Patrice - how are you today? Patrice in KY - Doing well...how about you? Kelly M - Tracy - how is your colleague who got so sick from that...and what is your district doing about it? Susan (NC) - Tracy, I just read a story about a family that had to abandon their dream house because of toxic mold; the whole family got sick. It was in Aug. Journal magazine. Patrice in KY - The room is quiet today. Everyone must be squeezing out th e last good of the summer. tracyOK - They're doing major clean-up, digging into the walls, cleaning the air, etc...it's a big operation. My colleague won't be back until second semester, if she's lucky. Sh Susan (NC) - That is scary Tracy, I wish her the best! tracyOK - This girl was going to do N.Boards this year...pretty sad. tracyOK - I'm going to log off for a minute and reboot my computer...it is very slow today! Then I'll log back on. Kelly M - Tracy - I hope your teacher association is in on the details of the cleanup...does your administration allow teacher reps to be at least dialogue about working conditions? Patrice in KY - I am going to scoot... Have a great week, ladies. Bye Kelly M - Bye Patrice - have a good week! Susan (NC) - I'm trying to look up some stuff and my computer is very slow today too. TracyOK - It says I'm in here twice...that's odd. Really, there's only one of me. Kelly M - Well, it's just the three of us. I'm waiting for a call back from Jamie (my daughter). She was married three weeks ago today...and is in an ER right now being tested for a possible emergency appendectomy! If they operate, I think I'll go up there tomorrow... Susan (NC) - On Monday we are getting Direct Way, does anybody know about it? Supposed to be really fast - since we can't get DSL it will be grade for the internet. Kelly M - Susan - I've been thinking of getting one of those DSL connections...but haven't gotten there yet! I got a cell phone this summer.....that's my step into the new century! Susan (NC) - Kelly, I hope she is OK, maybe it is not appendecitiis but something else, our music teacher was treated this yr. for the same thing and it turned out not to be appencitiis ( I wish I could spell as well as type!!) TracyOK - Kelly, I bet it's hard to have your "baby" sick and be so far away, huh? (No matter how old they get.) Susan (NC) - This Directway is for people who live in a rural area and other options are not abvailable for them. Sort of like Directv which we have had for years. Susan (NC) - It doesn't use phone lines to connect but uses a satelite! Kelly M - Yeah...I'm kind of sitting here chomping at my fingernails wondering if I should just go anyway! Her white blood count is WAY high. Susan (NC) - Why don't you go anyway, kids need their Mommy no matter how old they get! TracyOK - I agree with Susan! TracyOK - Well...I think I'll sign off...I hear the car in the driveway, so know I don't have computer time for much longer! Kelly M - I know....Right now I'm just waiting for the next phone call. I also have a son who kind of needs me around right now...he's about 2 hours east of here doing summer stock theater. Most of his belongings stay at his dad's house (Phoenix) ... and he stays there when he's not on the road lighting shows. (He's here for the summer stock season). ANyway, my ex's house burned to the ground last Sunday night. So Ryan has lost so almost all of his 'stuff'. It's really sad. Susan (NC) - Wow Kelly, you have had a lot of bad news lately! Kelly M - Yeah...not great.....but other than that, life is good! I think I'll go and do some laundry in anticipation of a trip! Susan (NC) - The day after we got home we had a thunderstorm from hell.........the Lightening & thunder was the worst - it hit about 15 feet from our house! Kelly M - Susan - that's what started the fire at my ex's....lightning... Susan (NC) - WOW - it only knocked out our phones, fried a couple of phone jacks, 2 phones and the modem on our computer. Kelly M - Fun. Yuck. Well, I think I'll dig into that stack of laundry! Kelly M - See you next week! Kelly M - Enjoy your time off! Susan (NC) - He wasn't home at the time I assume?
