I've read how the added moisture is good for living things, people, pets, and plants as well as furniture. We are considering it as I notice my nose very dry this heating season. Anyone feel the difference after adding the furnace add-on? thanks
Flacka It made a big difference in our house - no more shocks walking across the rug, easier breathing, and less dry skin on the pets. It was well worth it and I would do it for this house in a heart beat but we have a heat pump and not a furnace.

Betty Ann We've got a humidifier unit and I can definitely tell the difference when it's working (we had to replace an old one that had died). The house also feels a little warmer/

When the outside temperatures get very low, you have to decrease the humidity somewhat or you get frost on the inside of the windows!
