Don't announce "those who protest" If your gal lost and you feel cheated by the system, don't go planting seeds of discontent. Let them come forward. I would object very much to the teacher taking a lead on making some kind of big deal out of something that is simply a part of American history. Yes I teach ELA to 12th graders / AP Literature during that
time period and we watched it. Every time an inauguration
happens, I show it in class. Obama's was particularly
historic the first time, but the second time I didn't have
a class.

I showed this one and let my students lead the discussion.
