A friend wants me to lead a paint nite type activity for her 2nd graders birthday. It would be 24 kids. She is paying for all the supplies so I just show up and lead the paint lesson. I told her I'd do it for $15 a kid... she asked if I'd be willing to be paid hourly? If I do that what do you think I should charge an hour? She did say some parents will be there to assist.

Craftylady we are located in a very rural area and no one does this for kids, a few people do it with adults at $35 a person. We don't have many places for parties, really one or two...mostly everything is an hour or more away.

HOUR of painting? (if it even takes an hour) If you were
providing the materials, you could charge $15 per child,
but since you are not, I don't see that being a go...See More

justateacher1 Is this your profession? Then I would give my "friend" a discount. If this is a hobby, I would charge only $100. What will the children paint? Is it very detailed or simple? I've been to a painting studio where I was charged only $25 (paint, paintbrush, easel, and canvas was included).
