Free Open House for Educators
April 6-9, 2009

Join in the conversation at anytime, from home, work or
abroad, anytime, anywhere, 24/7. Open your eyes to new
possibilities and opportunities in Education! The session
opens up on April 6th.

This free online event allows you to explore career
opportunities from preschool to adult education.

The free Online Open House presentations allow you to

-experience a mini-lecture from a current teacher,

-gain an understanding of state requirements for different
certificate and credential programs,

-learn about teaching programs,

-network with teaching professionals in areas ranging from
preschool to adult instruction,

-and engage in informative Q&A with experienced
instructors

-Early Childhood Programs for Educators of Children, Ages
0-5
-Parents as Educators
-Courses that Apply to Credential K-12 (Reading, Health
Ed, Mainstreaming/Special Needs, Technology and more.)
-CLAD Certificate
-Reading Credential Programs
-Ryan Designated Subjects Credential Courses
-Community College Educators Courses
-College Counseling Programs
-Teaching ESL Programs

Although admission is free, you must reserve your spot in
advance in order to participate!

When you register, (use Reg # U8994) you receive a login
and password giving you access to Blackboard for the
duration of the free Online Education Open House from
April 6-9th.

During the Open House, you may login any time to
participate in ongoing discussions (this event is not
conducted in real time). UCLA Extension Online uses the
Blackboard online learning environment, visit
www.blackboard.com for an orientation. Technical
requirements are reliable Internet access and a PC with
Internet Explorer or a MAC with Firefox or Safari (latest
versions).

Participants must provide a valid email address to
participate.

UCLA Extension is the continuing education division of
UCLA offering 4,500 courses annually and located in
Westwood Village, Downtown Los Angeles, in the Los Angeles
community and online.
