Story Solutions- System for Solving Story Problems
Posted by Jill Guerrero on 9/24/08

This is a fantastic book for ESL and Special Education
students. It shows this really great way to help kids
figure out when to add, subtract, multiply or divide in
story problems. It has the kids make a chart. They have
to figure out if the answer will be more or less than the
largest number in the problem. Then, they look at their
charts to decide if the items that the numbers represent
are the same or different. By figuring out these two
things, they can always tell when to add, subtract,
multiply or divide. It really works!
