These activities are great for use in the classroom as
centers, take it to your seat activities or take home
bags. They're also great for homeschoolers. All the
activities were created by me, cover various areas of the
curriculum. They're in full color and in PDF format so
they can be printed from any computer. See below for

THE MITTEN $6.99 (8 activities)
1. Mitten Months--Place the mittens with the months on
them in the correct order.
2. Mitten Match--Match the color word mitten with the
correct color mitten.
3. Mitten Math--Solve the addition problems written on the
mittens.
4. Story sequencing--Put the animal words in the correct
order of how they
crawled into the mitten. (If you would like to use the
animals, you can find and print them on Jan Brett’s
website and use the words and animals as a matching
activity.)
5. Tracks in the snow--Using the animals tracks page,
follow the tracks to see what animal made them. You can
use the marker or your finger to follow the tracks.
6. Inside the Mitten--Complete the writing activity
describing what it would be like to be inside the mitten
7. Mittens and More Winter Clothes Graph--Graph the
pictures of the winter
clothes.
8. Mitten Glyph--Follow the instructions to create your
own special mitten. When you have finished, give your
mitten and the page to another person to see if they can
tell you what your chose. Read ALL the instructions before
starting.

1. FAVORITE COOKIE GRAPHING ACTIVITY: Students graph
their family and friends favorite type of cookie
2. ABC ORDER ACTIVITY: Students put the cookies with the
story words in ABC order (Two sets of six cookies. Each
set is a different design so that they can be used
separately or both sets used together for more of a
challenge.)
3. EATING A COOKIE MAKES ME THIRSTY GAME: Students roll
a die and move along the path. The first to reach the
glass of milk is the winner.
4. STORY MAP REPRODUCIBLE: Students fill in the circles
on the story map.
5. RHYMING WORDS ACTIVITY: Students match together the
rhyming word cards (8 pairs)
6. SCIENCE EXPERIMENT: Students form a hypothesis about
what happens when a cookie is left in a glass of milk and
use their observation skills to explain the results.
7. MEMORY GAME CARDS: Students find the two cards with

enough copies of this black and white teddy bear square
reproducible for each child (four per page). Each student
colors the bear in with his/her favorite color. The class
