Posted by Lisa / Georgia on 10/06/08

Shiver Me Timbers! Just in time for the Halloween season,
is a wonderful pirate theme intermediate level literacy bag
based on THE MAGIC TREE HOUSE-PIRATES PAST NOON. The fun
and educational activities are great to use in the
classroom as instant centers or to send home as homework
literacy bags. As always, all activities are laminated in
thick 3 mil. laminating film and are printed on card stock
for durability. $21.99 + $5 priority mail shipping. All
types of PayPal, checks and money orders accepted. If
interested, please email me at b8tes2@msn.com. (I always
    combine shipping on multiple purchases.)
    Included:
    1. Adorable HAND-PAINTED canvas bag featuring a cute pirate
    ship
You choose what title (if any) you would like on the bag

    2. Story Sequencing Strips(Self Correcting)

    story order (answers on back)

    3. Contraction Matching
Students match the pirate pennant with the two words to the
treasure chest with the correct contraction

    4. Descriptive Writing
Students use adjectives to describe the island where the
story took place and Cap'n Bones

    5. Shiver Me Timbers True or False
Students read the statements and circle the pirate ship if
the answer is true and the skull and crossbones if it is
    false.

results using tally marks. They then answer questions
    about their resluts.

by drawing out two numbered doubloons (10-25).
