    great addition to your literacy bag collection and
    wonderful for celebrating the upcoming election. Students
    will enjoy learning about some of our country's great
    landmarks, flag, presidents, money and more while gaining
    extra practice on important skills. Inside the hand-
    painted canvas bag are 10 educational activities from
    different areas of the curriculum as well as an original
    book written by me entitled Abe's Walk (which showcases
    some of our country's great landmarks and monuments).

    Hand-painted canvas bag

    Read Abe's Walk--This is a book patterned after Rosie's
    Walk that takes a boy named Abe across the country to visit
    several American landmarks--from the Statue of Liberty to
    the Golden Gate Bridge. (Not pictured. Full color half-
    page size.)

    Rhyming Match-- Match the US map cutouts together that have
    rhyming words

    The American Flag--Read the passage abut the American Flag.
    Then create your own five point star with a snip of the
    scissors by following the directions on the page.
    Patriotic Patterns--Use the cutouts to complete each
    pattern

    Flag pull though for the -ag family--Create and read the
    words for the -ag family by pulling the initial letter
    through the opening on the flag

    Complete the writing --What I love most about America
    Landmark Match--Match the landmark words to their pictures.
    (Use the book Abe's Walk to identify the landmarks)

    State Shadows--Write the name of the state that is shown in
    the shadow. Use the included map to help you figure out
    what state it is.

    Show Me The Money--Look closely at a penny, nickel, dime
    and quarter and answer the questions about the money.

    Presidents since 1901--Use the table with the information
    about the presidents since 1901 to answer the questions
    (ie: How many presidents were from Ohio? Who was
    president when you were born? What state had the most
    presidents?)

    American Symbol BINGO--Have a friend call out the name from
    the caller cards while you find the picture on the BINGO
    card. (Or you can play by yourself by matching the words
    with the pictures.)

    Activity Letter--explaining how to do each activity
