Our Schools Today

Our schools have changed so much you say,
Quite a difference from my day.
Children knew when to talk,
and never thought to mock,
Their teachers at the schools.
For children were aware of all the rules.

Reading, writing, and math too,
were taught in every school.
We thought that's all we needed to carry us through.
Now we've added new lessons to our school.
Such things as bomb and gun drills, violence prevention too
Now have to be taught in every school

Yes, our schools have changed so much now a days.
I think we need to all pray each and every day.
Pray that children learn what to say,
and how to act each and every day.
Let the schools get back to reading, writing, and math too.
To carry our children all the day through.
