Post: Politics
Posted by Burdick on 4/23/08
And do you not find that the politics within the lunch room, union meetings, and conference periods also deviate from the heart of the matter? Perhaps the politics in our classroom are what is truly getting in the way of student achievement (and I'm not referring to standardized test scores when I write "achievement"). The time has come to stop blaming the system, whether it be national or local politics. Ultimately, it is the individual teacher who is responsible for what happens in the classroom. Respectfully, An Inner City Music Teacher (With every odd stacked against me)
