Post: Why I work through lunch
Posted by hmmm on 3/25/08
"Too many times I have seen teachers work right through their lunchtime because they think it makes them look like a better teacher." I work through lunch because we all need to offer tutoring/makeup tests/etc. to individual students at some time, and I'm too busy and distracted in the morning, and too wiped out after school. Lunch also works for all of the bussed kids. So I resent the "because they think it makes them look like a better teacher" analysis, and I hope that's not what people in the teacher's lounge are discussing.
