Post: Male Teachers and The Little Things make a difference
Posted by Donna on 5/13/08
Wow, what a great article - very inspiring. It is so lovely to see a male teacher in the early grades. The children just love it. My 7 year old has a male teacher this year and has responded incredibly well. Yesterday, I took my 4 year old to kindy and there was a male 'substitute' Teacher for the day. My son was in awe - I had to stay and watch for a while because the children were just so excited and having the male voice and just a slightly different style - it was lovely to watch. Until I had children, I did not realize how important these little Teacher gestures are to both the children and the parents. Thanks to those Teachers who continue to do these little things day after day after day - the little things do make such a difference.
