Jennifer, I recently (this past summer) took both Texas certification tests (PPR and Content) for EC-4 certifications. I am also a new teacher, but not a new learner. I've changed careers and decided to return to college in my 40's. I will be honest with you, these tests scared me to death. After much soul searching and preperation, I passed them both on the first try. You can too. My suggestion is to prepare, and put the rest in God's hands. If you are pursuing a teaching certification at a later stage of life, you are making this decision after much deliberation. Place your faith in the Lord and prepare. That's the best advice I received when I was shaking in my boots over the tests. Good luck!
