How to Teach Physical Education Level K- 3
By Mohammed Asim Ghazi
Physical education teacher in Saudi Arabia
I teach grades 1, 2 and 3 at Al-Anjal International School in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. One of the most important physical education activities is that I depend on teaching movement activities and the students participation during the physical education class.
Also one of the targets in the physical education classes children’s ability to do different activities and exercises during the classes to provide children with experiences that encourage them to question, integrate, analyze, communicate, apply concepts and gain a wide multi–cultural view of the world.
Eventually physical education teachers will have the ability to assess children level and hence put them on the right track to success.
When teaching to grade one, two and three, one must use our curriculum, which includes a balance of skills, game activities, and rhythms experiences designed to enhance the cognitive, motor, affective, and physical fitness development of every child.
