Karen Cox, a dynamic pre-k teacher submitted this terrific idea for pocket charts in response to the “Hello Song”  pocket chart idea posted last month:

Here’s a photo of one I do in my classroom a lot. We use the pocket chart for voting for various things. We might vote on what we’re going to do on a rainy day (go to gym or play in classroom centers). We might vote on what we’re going to have for snack that day. This particular pocket chart is where we vote on whether we like the book we read at circle time that day.
