Salary: $50,000 +
KIPP Infinity Charter School will be opening its doors to 75 fifth graders in New York City in July of 2005. The school will grow each year to eventually serve 5th-8th grade students. The mission of KIPP Infinity is to provide all students with the character, knowledge, and skills necessary to succeed in top-quality high schools and colleges, as well as become active citizens in their communities and society at large. KIPP Infinity is part of the KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program) network of 40+ schools that have a proven track record of success with students from low-income communities across the nation. As a founding teacher on the KIPP Infinity team, you will have the opportunity to shape the school’s culture of discipline and achievement.
Candidate must have at least 2 years of full-time teaching experience in an elementary or middle school in an underserved community.
Candidate must also have a proven track record of achieving significant gains in the classroom.
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus, but not necessary.
