Teach in Virginia is looking for diverse individuals from all professional and cultural backgrounds and that either possess a current teaching license or are interested in teaching in a high need subject area.
Qualifications:
All applicants must qualify for an endorsement in a high-need subject area, which includes: math, the science, special education, English, technical education, foreign language, ESL, middle school math and science, library media, art, and elementary education. Applicants must also hold a Bachelor’s degree, have a minimum GPA of 2.75, and be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States. No prior teaching experience or educational coursework is necessary. Teach in Virginia is looking for excellent candidates who already have a teaching license and those who are willing to earn their Virginia license while teaching.
