GOOD SCHOOL / SINGLE HOUSING - Abroad (Gimpo)
Posted 03/15/05
Closes:
Salary: 2.0 ~2.2 million won
ELI schools, in the outskirts of Gimpo City and Incheon City, are located in a scenic and comfortable area close enough for access to the bright lights and attractions of Seoul yet also far enough removed from the stress and noise of the big city to provide a serene and peaceful working environment.
Successful applicants should be interested in working with young children in order to help us expand our program, and experience in this area is helpful, though not required. You will be asked to teach kindergarten or elementary students.
The starting salary is relatively high, and there are no Saturday classes.
Another positive feature is the exceptionally fine working relationship between the native-speaking staff and Korean owners and managers. Those of you who have taught overseas may know that this is not always common, and that this factor alone can make a very large difference in the quality of your life while living abroad. Every member of our current native-speaking staff will be available to speak with you and communicate frankly about what you might expect from your employment at our school.
Two positions are currently open, and we are working toward a starting date of early or late April or early May. You will need to have a 4-year degree from an American university or a 3-year degree from a Canadian university. You will also need to have all the documents required to process an E-2 visa. These are:
>1) complete resume
>2) a copy of your passport information page
>3) 4 recent color photos
>4) original university diploma / the copied paper notarized by the Korean Consulate
> Salary : 2.0 -2.2 million won (about 1,900 - 2,000 US dollars) depending on experience and qualifications.
> Severance Pay : 2.0 million
> Overtime pay : 20,000 won for hours exceeding 30 per week
> Round trip airfare provided
> Accommodation : Fully furnished single apt.
> Paid vacation : 2 weeks
> Medical Insurance : 50 %
> Working hours : Mon-Fri 30 hours per week ( 5days a week.)
Your resume should include a telephone number where you may be reached, and if you are currently living in Korea you may want to call the school directly at 82-31-996-0584 (031-996-0584) or you may also call our Personnel Director, Mihyun Lee, mobile phone : 82-11-496-8030 (011-496-8030).
