Post: Looking for a job and not having any luck

Posted by Odiesmom422 on 9/15/08

I changed careers to become a teacher with last year being
my first 'real' year teaching. I was let go after one
year and now can't find any jobs....

I'm dual certified in regular and spec ed (K-6 and 1-12
respectively). I've had about five different interviews
so far but haven't been 'right' for any of them (my
commute was pretty far, etc, etc, etc....)

I wonder if I'm doing something wrong OR if it's the
economy....It's discouraging, to say the least.

Suggestions would be appreciated....I can't relocate
(husband, daughter) and I'm in the Philly area...
