The reason for this is because there are so many teachers looking for work that the schools know they can get the best. The schools near me are now starting to require a BA and some want a BA in Education. I worked as a TA for 2 years and I never thought I would be interviewing for these jobs again. But, I have been, and they are NOT easy to find at all. This teaching shortage myth is disgusting.
