    Private school teachers will never earn public school wages.
    There just isn't the funding, but on the upside, you have
    selective admission. Many of the long-term "Catholic" or other
    religious affiliated school teachers I've known teach there for
    religious reasons, and sacrifice pay for that choice.

    Charters could, theoretically be paid as well as public school
    teachers, since they are usually partially funded by the
    government, but you would have to unionize to get it.
