    Just out of curiousity what state are you in. I taught in Catholic schools in two
    different states and was never required to take religion classes to keep my job.

    I was raised Catholic and attended classes as a child to have my first communion
    and to get confirmed, but was never even asked what religion I was before being
    hired.

    As far as what happened to you, I think the previous poster is probably right. You
    suddenly became too expensive to keep.
