And yet we determine a district's performance based upon
standardized testing. In my state, a district and it's students are
evaluated upon test scores, and only test scores. Still, this is
what the people want. They want hard numbers where they can keep
score. They want some way where they can rank districts and
students. It's much the same way with the TI test. There's a need
in society in general for quantification where we can point to
numbers and say X is better than Y. Its not great, but its the
system we have, and while I've heard excellent criticism of the
system, I've never seen a better, practical system proposed.

I'm not familiar with any test that isn't culturally biased, except
perhaps a math test, but even then directions can be misconstrued.
After all, even the use of the language varies by culture, even if
they all speak native English. For instance, in England, the word
"scheme" is used to simply define a plan or course of action. The
Government's Housing Scheme would not be uncommon and would not have
the negative connotation that "scheme" has in the US. In the United
States, someone who described a government program as a scheme,
would be intentionally casting it in a negative light. This is just
    one example.

If you mean the Teacher Insight on-line survey which is usually
given as part of an on-line application, I would suggest selecting
the most student centered response which focuses on all students
learning. Never pick the response that focuses on the teacher's
    thoughts or feelings.

I've heard that there are Teacher Insight tests used in interviews,
but I'm not familiar with those.

Good Luck in you job hunt...
