    I think you should listen to your instinct. Instead of
    chasing ANY job, I suggest you place more effort into
    landing a BETTER job that you will be happier with.

    I know it's easier said than done, but do you really want to
    go through a whole year of teaching in an environment you
    can't stand. Very few places are "desparate for teachers"
    right now. And, the places that are desparate are in that
    position for a reason - perhaps the work environment is
    poor... perhaps the pay is low or the benefits aren't too
    great... perhaps the administration isn't supportive.

    On an unrelated note: Whenever you apply for a job in
    another state, you may want to be sure you have the
    cerification BEFORE filling out applications. Many schools
    (not all) won't even consider candidates unless they're
    fully certified.
