Post: Should I sub??

Posted by Phi on 10/06/09

I have recently relocated to NW Florida. Due to my arrival
date, most of the full time teaching positions were already
filled for this year. So I thought, I'll try to get a
paraprofessional position, that way I'll get to know people
and that might help when the jobs for 2010-2011 are posted.
However, for whatever reason no matter how many para job
    interviews I go on, I can't score a job. I have been
teaching for 16 years, really starting to play on my sense
of pride. Today, a principal called to inform me that yet
again I wasn't getting the para job, only to say "have you
thought about subbing? We always need subs." I really hate
subbing but what do you all think -- is this gonna be my
    only hope?? Thanks !!
