Post: need feedback

A friend referred me to her friend that works for the HR
Dept. of a high school. They have an opening for the
position I am certified for. I have submitted my
application, resume, and cover letter. She said she would
be in touch that was a week ago. What should I do at this
point? Wait--- email ---- call???? I dont want to seem not
patient or not interested.
