Post: So tired of this....

Posted by flutetoot on 10/22/09

Well, I got the phone call today. I didn't get the 6th
grade job. The AP was very nice on the phone - said they
decided to go with 3 candidates that had more experience
and were currently teaching and would be experienced to
take over a class mid-year. He did say that they were
impressed with me, and knew that I would get something in
the future (although I've been looking 3 years now).:(

I met with the urban district today for the p/t teaching
job. The P had an emergency situation to take care (kids
were fighting) So I met with one of the reading teachers.
I am guessing she was 20??? (she apperade to be very young
and inexperienced). Her first words to me were "I've never
interviewed anyone before I don't know what to
do!" Needless to say, it didn't go that well. Turns out
they were looking for someone who had ELL, bilingual, had
early elem. literacy training, and was actually a reading
specialist. None of which I am. Had they even looked over
my credentials, they would have seen this. It was a waste
of time, IMO. And the whole time, the young reading
teacher was like, umm, like, yeah...so what do we talk
about next?.... The P finally came in at the end to
introduce herself and say that they have 10 people they are
    meeting with so....

I really cannot take much more...:beatdeadhorse:

I guess it's back to the dreaded Preschool para job (when
    will something change for me????):help:
