Thank you for responding to my post. I am aware that districts
normally post to their own HR page. I regularly look at all 35
districts in Harris County of which HoustonISD is the 4th
largest district in the nation. Teacher certifications are very
specific and although I am certified EC-8 generalist and 9-12
social studies there are NO openings for which I am certified. I
will over time expand my search but there are over 1,000
separate districts in the state of Texas alone. To apply at each
one and then regularly revisit each one is an almost impossible
task. I was hoping that your site would combine the sites of
many districts. I see that is not the case. I am not sure how
it would be helpful for me to discuss the fact that I am a well
qualified teacher who was laid off with other teachers who are
in similar situations. I really don't need a crying towel. I
need a job.
