#1329. Christmas songs

other, level: Senior
Posted Fri Oct 1 07:24:51 PDT 1999 by Paula Fox (pfox68@hotmail.com).
Plainwell High School, Plainwell, MI USA
Materials Required: video camera
Activity Time: three partial days
Concepts Taught: Practice, pronunciation and fun

During the last week before winter break, give your students a break.

Have the students translate well-known English Christmas or holiday songs into Spanish.

--Must be at least 50 words
--Must keep the same meter as the original
--Must keep the same general idea/theme

Have the students translate, memorize and then sing for the camera their new song. I have great memories of Frosty, el hombre de nieve and Angeles en las alturas.
