Posted Mon Nov 15 14:14:23 PST 1999 by Judith Talley (Catdocmom@aol.com).
Meigs Middle School, Shalimar, Fl USA
Materials Required: The Diary of Anne Frank; pencil and paper
Activity Time: one class period and/or homework

Because the events of Anne Frank's diary are presented only from her perspective, students who read the diary or the drama based on it, see the events from Anne's point of view only. Have students write a diary entry of at least 250 words reflecting on or describing one of the main events of the diary/play from the perspective of another person in hiding with Anne: Otto, Edith, or Margot Frank; Peter, Mr. or Mrs. Van Daan; Mr. Dussel. Even Mouschi the cat might reflect on events in the secret annex!
