#148. Successful Reading Achievement for everyone

Reading/Writing, level: all
Posted by Bobbi Vaughn (bjvaughn@ebicom.net).
Caledonia Elementary, Lowndes County, Mississippi
Materials Required: Literature and Accelerated Reader
Activity Time: 60 minutes
Concepts Taught: Reading Practice is the answer

I would like to share our success of reading achievement with all those teachers who feel there are children who are not reading up to grade level and do not choose to read as a pleasureable activity. This is the answer to that problem. We have been successful at our school through Reading Renaissance. This is a program that uses Accelerated Reader to its fullest degree. I would be happy to correspond with anyone who is interested in raising those test scores, making every student in his/her classroom a successful reader, and anyone who is looking for something to put the spark back into their teaching.
