Frosty the Comet
(to the tune of Frosty the Snowman)

Frosty the comet
was flying 'round the sun
Doing a trip he had done before
and having a lot of fun

Frosty the comet
is really, really old
he's made of dust and ice and "stuff"
and he's really, really cold

Frosty the comet
is flying by the earth
he has a tail that is really long
and he's got a lot of girth

Frosty the comet
is really, really old
he's made of dust and ice and stuff
and he's really cold

Frosty the comet
disintegrated in the sky
he came into earth's atmosphere
and there he had to die

Enjoy!

All Through the Universe
(to the tune of Up on the Housetop)

All through the universe stars are born,
Everyday new galaxies form;
Black holes pull space and time within,
The big bang is how it all begins.
Stars, stars, stars
Stars begin born!
Stars, stars, stars
Stars begin formed!
All through the universe,
In and in,
Black holes pull space and time within.
Venus the Real Bright Planet
(tune: Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer)

Venus the real bright planet
Is not a fluffy Christmas deer
Clouds of sulfuric acid
It's the 2nd planet from here

Longing for knowledge of Venus
NASA put Magellan in space
And for 4 years in orbit
It mapped most of Venus' face

Then one day in '94
NASA talked a bit
Why don't we just crash that thing?
Right into the planet

So down went Magellan to Venus
Right through thick clouds and all
So we know more about our sister
It was worth Magellan's fall

Astronomy Waltz
(to the tune of Deck the Halls)

It all started with the big bang.
Astronomy
Space is now a very different place.
Astronomy

This big event caused things to change.
Astronomy
Filled with galaxies, some that swirl.
Then there are the four gas giants.

Galaxies and stars fill up space,
Astronomy
Planets rotate 'round the stars.
Then there's Pluto, that got pulled in.

And dark matter, is that the case?
Astronomy
Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars.
Nothing but Earth contains man.

Universe
(To the tune of Jingle Bell Rock)

It's moving
It's churning
All around us
The stars above and
The dark matter
Galaxies spiraling around a black hole
And a supernova

Nebulas
Blue white stars
Precise and great
Never ceasing to
Stretch the minds of
Anyone who wants to see the beauty
And appreciate.
Galileo, Edward Hubble
Sought to see the facts straight
Took us into a whole new age
Of dwarfs, voids, and planes and unmapped pockets of gas.

Here we are
On our Earth
Teaming with life
The third of nine
From a regular Sol
Observing the heavens with hopes and dreams
To find answers

Its so great to see that reality
Has come into the norm
A better knowledge of the whole universe
Will guide us through the wall.

Stars
(To the tune of Jingle Bells... )

Looking all around,
In a big wide open space.
Matter everywhere,
Stuff we just can't see.

Big bright stars can shine,
Lighting up our sky,
But if they shine all big and bright we know they must burn out.

(2 times)
Oh.....

Stars are born, Stars go out,
It happens all the time.
It's just a thing we can't do anything about.

"Those who hear not the music...think the dancers mad."
The Universe
(to the tune of "Deck the Halls")

It started in a single point
That we call a singularity
At this point there was a big bang
It filled all space with energy
All the matter that was formed
Started to spin into everything
And the planets smoldered then cooled
And then all known types of life could form

Big Bang
(To the tune of Jingle Bells)

There was a big big bang / that released a lot of gas/
It made the stars we see that reveal our past.

Out came all the planets, one on which we stay/
that every single year a man flies 'round in his sleigh.

Out of all nine planets one produces life/
it made many people/ (some like Barney Fife.

Around the sun we go, getting hot or cold/
swimming in the summer, playing in the snow.

So.. Earth is big, Earth is great, Earth is where we stay/
Chillin' in the Milky Way each and every day. (Repeat)

Out to space we go/we go there by space shuttle/
seeing meteroids from Temple-Tuttle.

Outside our galaxy/ we may never see/
according to the dictionary that's a mystery.

So.. Earth is big, Earth is great, Earth is where we stay/
Chillin' in the Milky Way each and every day.

Out in Our Universe
(sung to the tune of Up on the Housetop)

Out in our universe dark and deep
Lies a secret it will keep
For it knows the nature of our race
And the surroundings known as space

(Chorus)
Oh, no, no. We still don't know.
Oh, no, no. We still don't know.
And the answer we won't find
Unless space and time press rewind

Scientists have put much at stake
In hopes of solving this major ache.
In fact, Albert Einstein led the pack
We might learn more if he were back.

(Chorus)

The search for black matter is our next task
Then no more questions we will ask
For with this discovery we can find
The beginnings of all space and time.

So, so, so, the search would end
So, so, so, the search would end
The nature of our universe would be known
The beginnings of our universe would be shown.

Writing an Equation
(to the tune of Jingle Bells)

We're writing an equation and making sure its right,
Balancing the compounds and elements left to right!
Reactants on the right and products on the right,
We hand it to Mr. Edmondson to see if it is right!

Oh, diatomic elements and subscripts, they just might
balance out equations to make them all quite right!

balance out equations to make them all quite right!

Chemical Night
(To the tune of Silent Night)

Chemical night Oh what a fright
Gold is Au shiny and bright
Radon is dangerous Carbon is black
Sulfur is smelly and Lead breaks my back
Hydrogen and Oxygen make water
Hydrogen and Oxygen make water

Chemistry night Oh what a fright
Silver's Ag Its atoms are tight
Chlorine can kill you but not in your salt
Helium thrills with the balloons that you bought
Calcium hardens your bones
Calcium hardens your bones

Equations
(to the tune of Jingle Bells)

Writing an equation
on the green chalk board
balancing compounds
Erasing all the way
Scratch, Scratch, Scratch

I had to change the numbers
so they'd be just write
what fun it is to write them down and see if I am right. Hey!

Oxygen, Nitrogen, Hydrogen, Fluorine.
Oh what fun it is to write diatomic atoms. Hey!
Iodine, Chlorine, Bromine and that's all.
There are no more diatomic atoms left for y'all.

Just the other day,
I learned there are two sides.
Reactants on the left and products on the right.
The Law of Conservation must be satisfied.
No mass is gained or lost instead it must at up the same. oh!

Synthesis, replacement,
decomposition
Oh what fun it is to write these different kinds of problems. Hey!

Equations, Equations
Write them the right way.
Oh what fun it is to write equations everyday. Hey!

The Latex Ball
(to the tune of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer)

Let's make a little mixture (mixture)
of some Hydrogen Oxide (Latex and vinegar)

And if you want to make it (Make it)
You will need to use your mind (Like Mr. Einstein)

All of the other liquids (Liquids)
Won't work as good as that (As that)

Measure out 20 milliliters (Milliliters)
Make sure it's only that

Use the graduated cylinder to find
the 20 mL of water
Pour it into the cup of latex
And mix it up with your little stirrer.
Then you measure vinegar
50 mL to be exact
Mix it in with the latex

You'll get somethin' cool, That's a fact!!
