I found this chant through a Teacher Friend. I fell
in love with this chant and have taught it to all
the children.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. CHANT

1st Line(say it twice) & (I allow the children
to pound lightly as they say it) When you spell
out K-I-N-G, let the children clap it out also.

MARTIN LUTHER KING, MARTIN LUTHER KING,
MARTIN LUTHER K-I-N-G

2nd line (say it twice)

Justice, Equal Rights, Liberty and Freedom
He had a dream that we shall overcome.

------------------------------------------------
You could even march around the room as you say this.
Could also do it as a Echo Chant, like girls say
one phrase, boys repeat it, etc. Then you could
have the students draw what they think the following
words mean: Justice, Equal Rights, Liberty and
Freedom. You could even ask the students to write
about a dream they have for our Country or State.
