Body Parts

Here is a great version of Simon Says that many Japanese elementary teachers use to teach their kids the names of the body parts. I used it to teach English and had a good time doing it. Give it a try!

First, teach the kids the names of the body parts in what ever target language you choose( a big stuffed animal or poster is a great thing to have.). Once they have got them down, have the students sit in a big circle. Start out by pointing at your eyes, and everyone does the same. As the point to their eyes, they begin chanting "eyes, eyes, eyes.." Then interject "nose" at some random point. On "nose" or whatever body part you happen to say you point somewhere else to confuse them, but they must point to what you said. If they do not, they are out of the circle. Have those who lost move out side of the circle, but have them continue to play.
