PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: Pre-K: Have the children act out the scenes in the
Blustery Day story where everything is blown around by the wind. K-4: HUFF AND
PUFF: Reading the classic "Three Little Pigs" have the students play "Huff and Puff. " In
this game the students blow on an object counting how many times they have to blow the
object to make it move three feet. When the students have "huffed and puffed" on the
various objects have them write the results down on a chart.

CRAFTS: K-4: Windsocks! have the children use any color 8x11 construction paper.
glue brightly colored strips of rolled decorating tissue, about 3 feet long, on one of the
long edges of the construction paper. Then fold length wise and glue (so that the rough
edges of the paper ribbons are hidden and it's more durable) and let the children apply
stickers, markers or whatever to one side. Form a cylinder and staple the ends togther.
Use a hole punch at the top to run a 6 inch bit of yarn to hang it with! Pre-K: WINNIE
