Input
Teacher will explain the procedures in using the software program
of the Cookie Factory. Show the children how by clicking on Harley the horse, he will tell you how many jelly beans he would like on his cookie. By counting out the right number Harley will say thank you and eat the cookie. If you count out too few or too
many jelly beans, Froggy gets to eat the cookie and then you try again.

Modeling
Point to the number that Harley says.
Click the jelly bean dispenser until you have the right number of
jelly beans
When your number matches Harley's number click on the glove
Harley will then pick another number if you were right

Check for Understanding
Children participate in counting out the number of jelly beans
Children help determine if they have chosen the correct amount
before clicking on the glove
Teacher observation

Guided Practice
Name numbers on cards out of order
Introduce cookie activity sheet
Put first three number cards in order - count 1,2,3
Pick a number card and find the cookie with the correct number of

Closure
Discuss with children how we match numbers and sets
Review numbers 1-10 unordered
