Materials Required: Sample flower, cutting tool, paper towels, construction paper or posterboard, heavy books or bricks
Activity Time: 1 hour
Concepts Taught: Learning the parts of plants

Collect your flower samples and make a cross-section cut on the flower with thw sharp cutting tool. Then, take the flower and place it in the paper toweland press under heavy bricks/books.
Remove the flower from the press and place in on the construction paper. Make labels on a ditto sheet of the flower parts you are teaching for the students to cut out. Glue them to the paper
and draw black lines to the various parts with a black marker. Ask the students to write the function of each flower part on a separate sheet of notebook paper so you will know they understand.
