Activity Time: 45 minutes
Concepts Taught: Microsoft applications

Objectives

Following a brief introduction to the class, the high school freshmen will be able to turn on their personal computers, access the different Microsoft programs, and use them to complete a trial assignment allowing three errors after the use of all programs.

More specifically, the learners will be able to:


1. Locate Microsoft programs from desktop
2. Access the different Microsoft programs
3. Use Microsoft programs to create intelligent documents.

Procedures/Closure

Teacher will introduce the computer to the ninth grade class. The students will follow along with the teacher as he\she covers the step by step process of accessing Microsoft Windows. They will learn how to use the Microsoft applications and apply these skills to their studies.

The students will complete an after class assignment that will assist them in developing their office skills.
