Concepts Taught: conjugation of -ar verbs in preterite

After the students have learned to conjugate -ar verbs in the preterite, divide them in 2 groups. one person from each group goes to the board and you give them an -ar verb to conjugate with a particular pronoun. Then both students quickly write the correct form on the board. Whoever has written and pronounced the verb correctly gets a point. It's fun and gets the class moving, writing and speaking!
