Activity Time: 25 min

Using two soft queen size blankets with a silky bindings, cut out and sew a large mitten shape. This makes an enormous mitten. Just right for children to climb into. We read the story and the children used masks from the story The Mitten, by Jan Bret( http://www.janbrett.com/index.html )to act out as we read. We had all the animals in the mitten . After each child had a chance we tried to get all the children in and we did it...16 got in. Wow was it fun and they still talk about it.
