Activity Time: 50 minutes-two class days

have the student illustrate a favorite memory they have - such as a day with grandma, the first time fishing, a visit to the ocean,etc. then use the following guidelines to enhance the writing portionnnn

Kentucky state guidelines sheet for writing a personal narrative. - focus on one event of the writer's life - clear and focused purpose
-relevant sensory details - written in first person i, me, my- includes dialogue(if Appropropriate) - focuses on one event - includes the thoughts and feelings of the writer
this is the basis for the writing. the illustration should reflect that writing.
