Materials Required: blending cards
Activity Time: 10 minutes
Concepts Taught: reading fluency

Objective: Identify targeted words quickly in competition

Material: flashcard woroksheet
Time: 5 to 10 minutes

Procedure:
a. Monitor passes flashcard sheets out
b. Students quickly cut them out
c. Challenge 1 kid in their group until all the flashcards are gone.
d. Move to another another challeger.

Keep changing challenger until time is up.
Store the flashcards in an evelope.

Follow-up: Read fluency sheets that have a long list of words and short stories that focus on sounds of the week.
